That's a pretty beefy list and I like it. I've enjoyed the point drops to our monsters, and especially our Ark Bastiladon. What do you think of the Terradons and how do you use them? I assume predominately for tactics and objectives?

I like that you have enough points to play around with the list. For example, you could replace one of the units of Terradons with Rippers. Or you could replace the Kroxigor with Warspawned. Or you could turn the HoH into Dartpipes for even more points to make alterations.

Have you tried the Primal Lore with this list? You probably have enough high Health units to benefit from the healing spell and Empowered Celestite on the Aggradons would be brutal.

Terradons have been decent as fast objective grabbers. Their base size and 2 inch coherency let them do a good job screening out deepstrikes as well or screening the front lines vs very aggressive opponents. Drop rocks doesnt come up often but its a tool in the toolbox.

I originally did run the warspawned since terradons let you get the buff pretty easy, but since the list is so elite, ive been trying normal krox for the anti-infantry role. Like you said its got room to tinker which is great.

I have not tried primal lore but it sounds interesting now that you mention it. celestial manipulation is a crutch that i learned to love lol. Speed of huanchi is so good and comets call is always handy to have in case you get those infantry spam lists like gitz or bestigor spam.

Celestial is still possibly stronger, but you have decent blasting with Kroak. Primal still has Earth Trembles, which, while not as good as Comet's Call, can still damage multiple units.

I don't know that this is a good idea, but you could even drop a unit of Terradons to add a unit of Guard. That would give you another target for Celestite Weapons. Plus, they could soak some wounds for Kroak and get a 5+ ward.

This might be more what you were suggesting. Saw this list on bcp. No name was listed but its from someone at a GT in China. It went 5-0.

    2000/2000 pts
    Seraphon | Sunclaw Starhost
    Drops: 4
Spell Lore - Lore of Primal Jungles
    Manifestation Lore - Morbid Conjuration
    General's Regiment
    Lord Kroak (430)
    • General
    Saurus Guard (120)
    Regiment 1
    Saurus Oldblood (110)
    • Reptilian Cunning
    Saurus Astrolith Bearer (130)
    Saurus Warriors (320)
    • Reinforced
    Saurus Warriors (320)
    • Reinforced
    Regiment 2
    Skink Starseer (170)
    • Coatl Familiar
    Terrawings (70)
    Regiment 3
    Skink Starpriest (100)
Bastiladon with Ark of Sotek (230)
    Faction Terrain
    Realmshaper Engine

Oldblood gives saurus warriors all out attack for free, and +1 to wound. Spell to give them +1 rend. Then charge in to double tap with oldblood+warriors brick. Warriors all out attck for free, doing 40 attack at 2+ 2+ -2 1dmg.

The other brick you use serpents staff on for 40 attacks with crit auto wounds.

Then you still have a bunch of mortal wound output in the list.

I think I like this one better than my original list.

This looks pretty tanky. Probably not a ton of damage, like from Kroxigor or Aggradons (our highest damage units), but pretty solid. At 5-0, it's a list that can clearly work. I guess it relies more on holding objectives, with casting spells giving the Astrolith buff to really make it hard for opponents to claim them.

Yeah, it seems like more of a death by 1000 cuts type of list, but it seems like it can still do some decent work. 20 saurus on objectives are pretty hard to shift. I wish it showed what asterisms they took. Im curious if they took the extra movement or the casting buff. Depending on the matchup I could even see taking the -1 rend with so many warriors.

The -1 rend can be a game changer on this kind of list. It is on many lists, honestly. Most of the battle plans have territories that go all the way to the middle and at least some objectives that are partially within those territories. But, I can see +1 cast and maybe bonus move depending on needs.

Imagine a fully buffed block of 20 Saurus Warriors with 3+ save (from all being on an objective), 6+ ward (from Astrolith), +1 Rend (from Empowered Celestite), -1 Rend to attacks from enemies (from Asterism), +3 to their control score (from Astrolith), and possibly +1 to Wound (from Oldblood). That's 41 attacks at 3+/2+/2/1. Then 40 wounds on a 3+/6++. Ouch!
