Thank you! It's been a really fun project to get back to. I am looking forward to having it done to better showcase it
Thanks man! Tried to keep the old school vibe but add some new school cool into it. I think I struck a nice balance! And yeah... color wise i am undecided. We shall see
Just the way we like em Yeah! I think its a fun idea. I like to imagine a big charge like you said, just a fun thought, especially with the wargear. I also like to imagine that the Dino can open its jaw really wide, like a snake. I (almost) always circle back! May take... awhile, lol, but I usually do! The curse is that I'm also making new ones at the same time.... Ha
Still hard at work to finish up my larger project, but in true form I got distracted and here we are! I've had an idea for awhile to use the Kroot Lone-Spear Mount (below) as a mount for a Skink, and I've had a left over Oracle body for some time. So finally I decided to embark on that project for a Melee centric Skink hero idea. My plan is to turn the kroot mount into a Razordon type creature, or semi like a Kentrosaurus. I have a lot of horns/spikes from various Seraphon kits (primarily that from the Carnosaur and Stegadon kits) to turn it into a spikey creature. The Skink Chief themselves are made from kits from the Oracle (body) Saurus Warriors (spear & shield), Old Saurus Warriors (shoulder pads), Chaotic Beasts (frill), and Terradons (head) to make a unique Skink spawned in the blessings of Chotec, it's frill looking like the sun when out stretched. Really excited to share this with you all, more to come!
Built this guy's mount, a Razordon for lack of my own homebrew name for it. Bits used: Kroot Mount Base, Kroxigor (head, necklace, tail club), Stegadon (tail spikes/horn, shoulder armor), Rhinox (thigh spikes), Terradon (adornments on thigh spikes). I think it came together really well in the end, feels natural to me. I've begun to paint it, its been about 3 days of painting... probably 6 or 8 hours total? Not 100% sure. Going for a more earth tone vibe with it, with brighter golds and feathers to bring that "pop" factor. A lot done but some to go still.
