pretty good and nicely balanced, actually. And among the best known historical 3d games it works mostly on small-mid patrol level but can be expanded to greater scenerios
It's a pretty solid historical wargame (albeit very infantry-focused), so much so that it recently got its 3rd edition, and it has a few spin-offs to boot: Achtung Panzer! - a tank-centric battle game; Bolt Action Korea - a version of the game that of course focuses on the Korean War; and Konflikt '47 - a wacky weird WW2 alternate universe that's like a mash-up of Wolfenstein, Captain America, Iron Harvest, and Command & Conquer, among others.
Yep! I collect Japanese SNLF in my gaming group, and may open up to doing USMC as an OpFor. Thus far, my gaming group also has German Fallshirmjäger and 5th Canadian Division, and may soon also include some Soviets.
Some years ago we were fairly active, now no more. But i still have my US army, and hopes to field them again.
