SKINK isnt a great wizard in my opinion at 1lv....with lvl up will be lil better but not enough in my opinion. Why no OldBlood, to expensive and i would like to have stendard bearer to improve the resolution. Double Scar vet will be good inside 16 Saurus, in my opinion and gave a good amount of attack, if i ll lose the champion in a challenge they can thin out the enemy unit Bastiladon, with solar engine is a very good killer of single characters or tanks and can support saurus Ancient stegadon, is a must for multicharge enemy unit Saurus, less than 16 will be doungerous for keeping objective.....the lost for concentrated shots are very easy....maybe this time with stendard bearer with Sun Standard of Chotec they will have easy life What do you think about troglodon? thank you very much
Hi I'm not the best at rating lists. As i played only 5 games and lost all of them. maybe cause of the meta, the unbalance book we have and some unavoidable shenanigans from my more skilled opponent, ill try again. but now i think i got a better overview of the game. Lizardmen are my beloved army since 5th and i hope GW have a plan for them in tow in the future. Ill fight for them anyway. Have you tried your list ? what's the results ? Let's talk about your list. It looks like a very slow army. Only your skink can project with the vangard rule. all the rest will be slow and you will lack of Board control. Both characters will remains in the saurus pack, and this will be your opponent main target. Bastiladon and god engine can miss cast AND be dispelled with a mobile spellcaster. Leaving you with very few options. The chotek standard is great, but overcoasted in a 1k army. I've tried Monsoon in the past and it gives real pain to my opponent to avoid it. plus, it gives you dispells at range, from the skink priest. also that priest could be on the stegadon for more HP and the posibility to give him the 5++ save from talisman or necklace. You could save some point retiring your great banner holder, shifting him for a priest whith moonsoon and ruby ring. and with the extra points add more skinks. You could downgrade your saurus pack as it have 16+2 bases with the characters and go down to 14 +2 and buy more skinks. A simple unit of 10 skinks is ok, but only one wound received and it will lose the its board control ability. having 12/14 bobies is more helpfull. For the main scarVet, Levitating shield seems great on paper but i think 25 points for a small +2 armor is not that great deal. I'd change it for the talisman of protection which is mostly mandatory. (flying shield could be great in addition with the necklace it could make a 3+/5++ armor lizard). You could give him a cold one for mobility and armor. It could acompany the skinks and help to hunt the flying wizards around. I never got luck with the Bound spells, as it is hard to cast, easy to dispel AND you can mess up the random attack number (and then the wound and the saves... which are a lot of rolls) so ill never put few of them. You should go full lasers or not at all, i guess. (sorry for my bad english, i'm french... but never ate any frog yet ).
Hi, no I haven't tested the list in the field yet, the Grand Melee is very difficult for our army and the 250 point limitation for the characters is really blocking... it would be nice to be able to include a skink on a stegadon with the machine of the gods.... but it's not possible. I am reluctant to reduce the number of saurians due to their ability to hold objectives, too few may not absorb losses from shooting or melee. The battle standard-bearer's standard is very expensive, but the chance of not taking fire when charging and the -1 damage make them truly tough against ranged weapons and even in close combat with their 3+ armor save.... Adding good base resolve and the strength of the scarred saurian veterans makes them a fearsome unit capable of dealing with multi-charges. I thought about equipping one of the scarred veterans with the speed potion and the leviathan shield ( is for use the great weapon and shield in same time ) to give him the chance to attack first in the challenge and give him the chance to eliminate the target before he responds....in case he doesn't think he's strong enough to get through the challenge with the opponent unscathed I would use the champion of the unit and in this way, in theory, I would still win the fight. Since the poison attack was nerfed, skinks have gone from being protagonists on the battlefield to mere extras, good for disrupting, contesting objectives (provided they aren't being targeted), and redirecting charges maybe is a bad opinion. Bastiladon e ancient stegadon, for me are a must in my list, dinosaur are dinasour ahahah and in past game they gave a good resoult
