Hi everyone, I was asking myself about the new units we have has rare choices and their possibility to stand and shoot... First: Can an ancient stegadon (4D6 BP) SaS? Second: How do you deal with a shooting incident with the razordons? Well since these questions seemed quite obvious to me I hope there were no other threads about them (but since i found none i assume there is none...) Anyway, I hope you'll be able to help me out with these little SaS troubles! Adonime
first: general consensus is that yes it can... but there is no definite answer until an errata is published second: what do you mean incidents? a misfire is D3 skinks dead, shooting is 1x artillery die, stand and shoot is 2x artillery dice
Absolutely no reason the blow pipes can't stand and shoot, they are nothing like a warmachine even in rules. There is some debate with steg giant bows, but even they aren't classed as warmachines so should be able to. Razordons stand and shoot better than their normal shooting, but that of course gives more risk to your crew. I guess they're only skinks, and if you get charged by much they would probably die anyway so meh.
Now, for Stand and Shoot for the Engine of the Gods.. the skink crew have javelins, so can the skink crew on the engine of the gods stand and shoot? for the BP they are manning the blowpipe so no...same for the great bow, but engine of the gods?
Yeah they can. And remember, it takes 2 crew to man the giant bow, and one for each giant blowpipe, so if you have 5 crew then you can stand and shoot with 3 javelin shots and giantbow/blowpipes depending on which steg you have, or 5 javelins for the engine.
I think the question about Razordons and "stand and shoot incidents" was more along the lines of... "Do I still get to use shots from the other artillery die I roll if the first one is a misfire?" I would say you roll it anyway, a misfire wouldn't stop the second artillery die worth of shots. After all, the reason two dice are rolled is the creature is going into defense mode and is doing its own thing. I doubt it would balk at gunning down some of its handlers.
Oh I see. Yeah you would roll them both at once, though since most people would only have 1 artillery dice roll one after the other but count them as both happening at the same time.
