I'm almost done painting my first round of skinks, they have a belly like this and a top like this with greenish scales and gold and black weapons. I'm trying to paint all the different lizards with different skin, but I want the weapons to be fluffy.

The book says the weapons are made with obsidianite or something like that, so thats the black part of the weapon, then I suppose all the gold is on there for added weight. Gold is a soft metal but weighs a ton. So thats cool, a hard but light space metal, with a heavy but soft earth metal. Now I'm wondering what color to paint all the teeth on the hand weapons.

Fluff wise I imagine they would be black.
The BRB says they're made out of Jade.
The GW site has them as their pointy ends as Bone or Flint.

So what do you guys think is best for the weapon teeth?

Actualy Aztec gold is not pure gold its a gold/copper alloy called Tumbaga and it's actualy harder than copper or gold.

For the teeth I have seen various, usualy the same metal as the other bits of the sword,
but also I have seen a black with various highlights like dark green, blue or grey.
Also Bone teeth can look quite good as well, especialy with a bit of delvin mud around the base of the tooth.

Wow, thanks a lot for that. I've been trying to figure out why there is patina in the gold when it wasn't copper. Now I know. ^_^
