I just picked up Dread Fleet and I was wondering if anyone knew of some resources to check out as far as painting tips go for them? The models look fairly complicated and I'd rather not screw them up.
There are some many talented painters right here on the forums! Check out: http://www.lustria-online.com/threads/a-tale-of-dreadfleet-painters.7781/. Also check out Gabus' really nice Steamship and water bases at Da Warpath: http://z3.invisionfree.com/Orc__Goblin_Warpath/index.php?showtopic=29947. Hope this helps some. Feel free to post yours when you get a chance. - Lord Cedric
There might be stuff on the GW website by now, should be. Otherwise the absolute best resource for it is the October White Dwarf, use any means neccesary to get your hands on it! It has 1-2 full pages on how they painted each ship as well as suggestions for what to glue before or after painting.
+1. I literally picked up the magazine (and I rarely ever buy WDs anymore) just for this article because I just couldn't wait for GW to put it up on the site. That being said, they probably will do just that eventually, so if you can't get the magazine, it's not the end of the world.
