That chariot will probably be an either/or kit of the black coach or some new chariot. Seems that now GW always likes to make the kits have 2 options. I like it. Gonna take a while for me to buy it though. I still haven't bought any of the new Ogre stuff.
Yeah, I am reallly liking most of the new line of VC's coming out soon. The Black Knights and HexWraiths look awesome. I hear you Arli! I just started collecting some of the new Ogres myself - so far getting 1 Thundertusk/Stonehorn kit, 1 Iron Blaster and 1 box of Mournfang Cavalry. I just finished magnatizing my Ogres (for trays). I also have them about 80% painted (no characters yet). I have my first game with the new rules on Friday. None of the new kits for this game though.
Wow. 80% painted? Have you posted any pics of them here? I'd really like to see them! Also, I have been buying Ogre stuff from other members at Ogre Stronghold - even though most of the members are overseas for us, they are still selling their stuff (that's where I got my Mournfang and IronBlaster from!) really cheap compared over here. I got the new IronBlaster and 4 newest style leadbelchers for $40 usd shipped. I also got a box of Mournfang for $22 shipped. Good luck on your game! Boo hoo. We'll just kill it like we kill all big overpriced mount options; a nice 'Dwellers' or 'Pit' dropped on that leaves the Vampire riding it looking silly. The only thing our monsters really need is +1 Initiative (srsly) and a price drop. They work fine the way they are. I'd buff the Engine a bit (Arcane Config is currently worthless, Burning Alignment needs to be Flaming and inflict 2D6 hits), but thats it really.
To be honest, I'm not a fan of the Mortis Engine/Coven Throne. It is NOT a black coach kit, the black coach is staying the same but going resin. It looks a bit too flooded with detail and not really recognisable as any kind of real unit for me, even taking into account it is fantasy. A bunch of ghosts holding up a board of wood that a character stands on? No thanks. The only new VC release I might actually be tempted to buy is the Black Knights, even the army book cover is not very nice. But, well, everyone has their own opinion I guess.
The Vargheists look pretty cool though. Might make a nice change to have fast Monstrous Infantry charging up a flank, as opposed to the Varghulf just getting shot through the eye by a single cannon. The other Monstrous Ghoul unit could be cool too, if they keep Poisoned Attacks.
