Hey guys! I am doing a series of blog posts on some skink skirmisher movement trays which I just made. The first post covers the sculpting. late tonight I will post the painting and flocking steps. Here is the post: http://wappellious.blogspot.com/2012/05/skirmishing-movement-trays-for-skinks.html A peek: What they looked like finished: In other news, what do you all think of that great saurus monster in the Forgeworld Arcanum book? I was thinking of sculpting that, but I was wondering just how big it should be. A tad bigger than a carnosaur?
OK, part two has been posted! http://wappellious.blogspot.com/2012/05/skirmishing-movement-trays-for-skinks_27.html
Good stuff. I do have a questions though. I notice the numbers you have written on the tray. Why do you do that? The skirmishers are seperated, is that so they rank up for combat correctly?
The last post is up showing the final results http://wappellious.blogspot.com/2012/05/skirmishing-movement-trays-for-skinks_28.html The numbers are to make sure each skink goes where it needs to, for appearance and to make sure they don't bump into each other. There are also two of these trays for 12 skinks, and that helps keep them organized. Since there are magnets involved, it also prevents and polarity issues!
