I just posted this big critter to the blog today...

    Carnosaur1.jpg

It is actually the first time I tried to do the carnosaur with the old style dragon wings. I had forgotten all about it, until a stumbled across the images!

Working on the various color temperatures on the reds was a bit maddening. :)

Here is the link to the blog, and to a bevy of images!

Incredible, really good work on the object source lighting.

Though I will say one thing, it's probably not the first winged carnosaur because the big boy is a popular Wyvern and Dragon conversion model (using Balrog wings). :p

    Thanks guys!

By "first winged carnosaur", I meant for me :) I am pretty sure the winged carnosaur I made for my own army is posted here and on the blog.

When I did my own, the Oldblood was a more traditional white, and the body of the big dino was a blue/black, which made creating the firey contrast a whole lot easier! :)

The lava scheme also dates back to 7th edition, when you could have spawning traits. My "immune to Psyche" saurus were going to be blue/black, standing on these lava bases. Anyone crazy enough to stand on lava can't get scared very easily, can they? :bag:
