the rule says any units wthin 12 inches of malekith pass automatically, but my freind says this includes malekith, i disagree, who is right?
I'd say it does include him. Firstly because the rule noes not explicitly exclude himself, and secondly because he's a 5000 year old elf monarch who has literally been to hell and back and arguable the most powerfull elf in existance. I doubt arrows, the odd cannon-ball, and some of his mates getting beaten up in his vicinity would make him even lift an eyebrow.
I'd be liberal with interpreting Malekith's rules. I mean if someone wants to 600-900 points on one model, they are probably already fielding a non-competitive list.
