Sorry can't work out how the pics work on here :-(

The below is a test & I tried all sorts on him, which is why he's beaten up! - I'll go through what I did & what I think may work for the real ones, but please advise as I'm a complete novice at the lizard folk :)

    Welcome to the Forum.

I really like the way the skull jumps out on the skink. It has a real voodoo feel to it.

In order to post pictures within posts, use the pic button or the tags [pic].

    Again, welcome to the forum.

    Thanks for the welcome :)

Yea for the face, I was thinking of going for some sort of deathmask face-paint thing..will have to practice to get it right, but the lines of the model are quite sharp around the face/jaw, so it shouldn't be too tough to make some kind mask effect

He looks good. I like the skull head too. Very primitive and kind of creepy. Maybe put a light brown wash over the head to give it some depth.

The color on the right leg looks good. Seems like a lot of work to get it there but the result is very nice.

Thanks! ..seems so simple now :p

Have tried again with a more serious attempt - didn't try for the war-paint, it wasn't looking great. Made it all darker too, will try again tomorrow with a much lighter shade.

I know my method is long, but I love experimenting, & I love the unexpected results - in this case, the blue tone you get when you mix enchanted blue with nighshade wash

Anyways, see what you think. Will go for an icy blue tmrw -- oh and the warpstone shards are because I'm making a multicultural skaven slave unit & wanted to tie it into a warp obsessed warlock engineer who's main char of the army.

That actually works really well with the blue and green. It also is not the standard 'blue' color that the old standard army was.
