I've bought the Lizardmen Magic Cards but I still don't get the Armybook, so I don't understand the right moment to activate the attribute.
To swap a spell I simple need to cast it (rolling enought to obtein the spell casting value) or I need to resolve it? In other word: a dispelled spell could be swapped at the end of the turn?

You have to successfully cast it.
If your opponent dispels it, uses a scroll, or if you don't roll high enough to get the spell off, the attribute doesn't kick in.

Hmm, after reading the BRB a bit I found evidence for and against you.

    FOR

    p.32 Cast

"If the casting result equals or exceeds the spell's casting value, the spell is cast (though it may be subsequently dispelled and neutralised by the opposing player, as we'll discuss later)."

    p.35 Dispel

"If the Wizard was able to cast his spell (and it was not cast with irresistible force) the opposing player now has a chance to prevent the spell's effects by attempting to dispel it"

    AGAINST

    p.36 Spell Resolution

"If the enemy has failed his dispel attempt (or not even attempted one!), the spell is cast successfully and its effect is now resolved."

I'd rule against because it uses the same wording as the LM attribute rule.

So it seems a question of spell: "cast" vs. "cast successfully". I also believe the second interpretation is the right one but I hope the new FAQs will clarify this question. :(

    Thank you.

There is a difference between casting a spell and casting a spell successfully and the definitions are detailed in the BRB magic rules. As per page 32, bold print, under Casting Value:

For a spell to be cast, the total of the dice rolled, added to the Wizard's level, must equal or beat the spell's casting value.

Now, on page 36 under Spell Resolution, first paragraph,

"If the enemy failed his dispel attempt (or not even attempted one), the spell is cast SUCCESSFULLY and its effect is now resolved

From page 60 of the Lizzie book under Contemplations describing the lore attribute:

"If a spell from the Lore of High Magic is SUCCESSFULLY cast,...."

The rules are clear as is, albeit not easy to locate and piece together. In order to enact the High Lore attribute and change out a spell, the initial spell must be successfully cast (i.e. not dispelled by your opponent).

Just clarifying something when swapping spells

I read the rules again and noticed the HM attribute allows the slann to swap spells from HM to another spell from any lore

So if you swap each of you HM spells for spells from Battle Magic, is it impossible to obtain the HM spells again?

It doesn't say you can swap from Battle Magic to another becuse the slann uses the spell's attributes

So that means the slann really has to think about what he wants to swap and which lore he wants

This is correct, unless you swap another high magic spell to try get the old HM spell back then its gone
