I had a mad idea... I'd like to build an Empire army with miniatures of different armies and using the empire rules. For example bretonnia for cavalry and halberdiers, dwarfs for handgunners and cannons, obviously the empire for demigryphs and steam tanks and i don't know what for the greatswords (i was thinking to the new DE executioners with a "good guy" paint scheme and a head swap to look like humans or HE). What do you guys think? I don't play tournaments, but if i would could i play an official tournament with an army like this? Fluffwise it could be a Great Alliance leaded by Karl Franz against the Greenskins or Warriors of Chaos\Daemons. Why? Because i love the Empire rules and fluff, but i don't like many empire miniatures.
Dwarf hand gunners! Wood elves for your huntsmen, eleven mages, hell ou could have kislevite bear cavalry as your demigryphs..... Personally I wouldn't have n issue playing against that army so long as it was clear what each unit was, that only empire rules were used, and of course it looked cool! I will check back to this thread often as im doing estelian empire army themed on Spanish conquistadors!
