Ok so local shop is doing a Monsters of Summer campaign. First event was a single large model so of course I took the Dread Saurian. Second event we have to include the model from the first event and build a 1000 point list around it. So I have 580 points to play with. I’m trying to decide if I want to bring a Slann and play summoning games or some other Dinos and just forego the summoning. Any suggestions?
Welcome to Lustria! You should deffinitely bring a Skinks Starpriest for his Serpent's Staff ability. Here is a Slann and a Slannless list: Allegiance: Seraphon LEADERS: Slann Starmaster (260) - General - Command Trait : Great Rememberer - Spell : Stellar Tempest Skink Starpriest (80) - Spell : Celestial Apotheosis UNITS: 5 x Saurus Knights (160) - Lances 5 x Saurus Knights (80) - Lances BEHEMOTHS: Dread Saurian (420) Endless Spells / Terrain: Chronomatic cogs (80) TOTAL: 1000/1000 EXTRA COMMAND POINTS: 0 WOUNDS: 57 Allegiance: Seraphon - Mortal Realm: Ghur LEADERS: Skink Starpriest (80) - General - Command Trait : Master of Star Rituals - Artefact : Gryph-feather Charm - Spell : Celestial Apotheosis Saurus Scar-Veteran on Cold One (100) UNITS: 5 x Saurus Knights (80) - Blades 5 x Saurus Knights (80) - Blades 3 x Razordons (120) 3 x Skink Handlers (40) BEHEMOTHS: Dread Saurian (420) ENDLESS SPELLS / TERRAIN: Chronomantic Cogs (80) TOTAL: 1000/1000 EXTRA COMMAND POINTS: 0 WOUNDS: 59
Nice thank you. I had a Trog and skink priest in a list with some skinks for a battleline. Is it not adviseable to take the skink priest to fully buff the Dread? Sorry if the questions seem dumb I’m still new to warhammer.
If you make the Skink Starpriest your General then you can give him Master of Star Rituals. This will allow you give the Dreadsaurian the same buff as the regular Skink Priest. If you want to take then Slann then taking both the Starpriest and standard Priest would be a good idea.
