I am in a campaign with a thousand point game this weekend. Right now there are two lists that I am considering. Here they are: List one: Scar Vet x1 Sword of striking and Charm of the jaguar warrior Skink priest lvl2 plaque of tepok, power stone, dragonfly of silver (for scouts) Skink priest lvl2 dispell scrollx2 Skink skirmishers x 10 Skink skirmishers x 10 Saurus warriors x 20 spear Chameleon skinks x 10 Terradaon x 3 List two: Skink Priest lvl2 plaque of tepok diadem of power skink priest lvl 2 itxl grubs and dispell scroll skink skirmisher x10 skink skirmisher x10 saurus warrior x 14 saurus warrior x 13 chameleon skink x5 chameleon skink x5 terradon x 3 I do have some models left over that can be used. I have a salamander, 3 kroxigors, 3 skink cheifs, and some skinks and saurus that I could add. I also have some saurus calvary (some missing the riders-4 of eight). What do you guys think of these lists? Any comments welcomed.
It seems that your trying to go magic heavy in this list with what you've given your first priest. But if you want to go magic resistance at the same time with your second priest I'd drop a scroll and give him diadem of power. As for your Scar vet, I'm leary about giving him the charm because he's gonna be your general and you want to keep him with the army, not have him running around the battle field killing war machines or character hunting. You've got a solid listing here. Perhaps you might want to drop it down to 17 warriors for your saurus unit. That way you have a space for your scar vet and can have three rows of six. I might also consider putting a command group (musician if nothing else). I'd chop the big unit of chameleons into two units of five. That way you have more versatility and greater mobility with the same over all shooting capabilities and more coverage across the board. I'd drop the itxi grubs and put the diadem on your second priest. You don't wanna give your magic 'heavy' priest the same magic item that will reduce his magical effectivenss or not be able to use such a great defensive item. Also, I'm a little concerned you've not taken a Scar-Vet. It's a great power house, especially at 1000 points! Good selections over all. I'd consider trying to give spears to one if not both units of Warriors. Nothing to argue with here! The chameleons would be the place I'd drop points though if you need to get some in order to upgrade units or get that extra character in.
