7th Ed. 1000k point Army

    Is there anything i can do to make this list better.

    1000 point army.

    Skink Priest – 425
    • Ancient Stegadon with engine of the gods
    • Level 2 Wizard
    • Staff of the lost sun

    9 Chameleon Skinks and 1 Brave - 128

    17 Skinks, 1 Skink Brave, 1 Musician and 1 Standard Bearer – 122

    9 Skink Skirmishers and 1 Brave – 76

    9 Skink Skirmishers and 1 Brave – 84
    • 8 Skirmishers with Javelin and shield

    3 Kroxigor - 165

    whole units has to take the same weapons, so you can't make only 8 of 10 skink go with javelins...

    with the new 7the edition, Lizarmen has been given a wide selections of ways to build an army so it realy comes down to style of play... Do you have any ides of how your army should preform? oppnents, e.c.?

    As a general rule, skink braves are worthless. An additional point of BS doesn't mean much when the real damage is when you roll a 6 anyway. One exception is your big block of skinks, they could probably benefit just for the challenge aspect.

    The main armies that are played down here are:

    Chaos, Dwarves and Orks/Goblins. They are my frequent opponents.

    I want to hit them hard and fast, and take them out with speed. but i dont know how to set up my army to do so, im also struggling with my 2000k army also. Same opponents.

    Any tips would be great

    if you want to hit them hard and fast, i'd use terradons, they can tie up the dwarf guns for 1 or 2 round giving your skinks/krox a change to cross the field unbattered by cannon fire.
    also good for march blocking and redirecting charges from chaos cavalry, warhounds and spawns.
    against O&G id use salamanders and stegs, as they usually have big blocks, template weapons and impact hits can do a lot of damage, make sure you can flank them with cavalry or the likes to finish them off.

    i'd also loose the braves in the skirmish unit, waste of points.

    If you are going to face any block units, take a couple salamanders. O&G will hate the panic checks, dwarves will hate the -3 armor as will chaos. They help soften up block units for steg strikes. Don't forget to take some terradons too, so you can take shooting and warmachines out quickly.
