Hey, I'm relatively new to WHFB, as in I havn't played any games yet (boooooo!), but I have been checking out this forum alot since I joined. I've been trying to complete an armylist for playing against my friends at 1000p. They play Skaven, Greenskins and Dark Elves. This is what I have come up with: Scar-Vet: LA, Shield, Sword of Might/Sword of Battle, Glittering Scales, Ironcurse Icon Skink Priest: Diadem of Power Saurus Warrior x19: Full Command Skink Cohorts x21: Additional Krox x2, Musician Skink Skirmishers x11 Skink Skirmishers x10 Salamander: Extra snack Salamander: Extra snack Which conveniently brings it to a total of 1000 points. Scar-Vet goes in Saurus block. But then I have some question, well mainly, is this a good list? And I'm not sure where to put the Skink Priest, can he go around solo, or is it a good idea to put him in the Skrox block? Or maybe even put him in one of the Skirmisher units? Thanks for your help! EDIT: I noticed our armybook lists Sword of Striking as 25p instead of BSB's 15p. Sorted this out by changing it to Sword of Might/Sword of Battle (depending on situation) and removing one skink in the cohort unit.
I think its a good start. Skink priest in the skrox unit, i would add full command on units with characters to avoid challenges when needed. Try to use the skirmishers to draw out opponents tougher units to get flank abd rear charges. With low int limiting incoming attacks is key. Ive lost combat by model count but won with combat res and had chaos run from me.
Thanks! Yeah I could easily flip around some points to be able to add a champion to the skrox unit, sounds like a good idea. Just hope that I can be a good enough general to crush my friends puny armies. None shall be spared...
