    Hi everyone,
just found this site when Googling random stuff - ahh ... here is a list I intend to use at a club tourney (40-50 players) and have played Lizardmen from the start. Its a skink list and a sacred host of Tlazcotl from one of the white dwarfs. Basically its so i can use Lore of Metal ;) . The list has two units of Krozigor (pretty overkill but anyway ...) also there is a unit of sallies for fire support (soften up/Destroy units). Other than that this list relies on skinks being skinks (march block, anoy, anoy, poison stuff)

    1 Skink Chief @ 122 Pts
    General; Tlazcotl; Light Armour
Scimitar of the Sun Resplendent [50]

    1 Skink Priest @ 115 Pts
Magic Level 2; Lore of Metal; Tlazcotl

    1 Skink Priest @ 115 Pts
Magic Level 2; Lore of Metal; Tlazcotl

    10 Skink Skirmishers @ 85 Pts
    Scout; Tlazcotl; Blowpipe

    10 Skink Skirmishers @ 85 Pts
    Scout; Tlazcotl; Blowpipe

    3 Kroxigors @ 174 Pts
    Great Weapon

    3 Kroxigors @ 174 Pts
    Great Weapon

    2 Salamander Hunting Packs @ 130 Pts

Casting Pool: 6 (oh oh yea)
    Dispel Pool: 4
    Models in Army: 37
    Total Army Cost: 1000

Any input would be greatly appreciated. There are some people I need to beat at this tourney. Thanks much

Played against dwarf and High elf players. Won both games (convincingly).

    Dwarf game:
-Using the lore of metal (Thought of awesome combo explain later) I killed the general using Rule of Burning Iron
    - Used the Skink screen to awsome effect (he had two bolt throwers that were firing at skinks all game ;) )
    - Sallies were good, killing a unit of 10 crossbowmen over two turns
    - The Kroxigors were awsome, Charged his main block of Iron Breakers with the first unit, then (thanks to me forgeting to move a unit) got a flank charge. After that I was homeward bound.

    HE game:
    - This game was tough. Fist he scouted two units of shadow warriors behind my line killed a skink preist
-They were taken out by a charge from the chief with 5 At and the other by a sally barage
-The skinks took out both of his bolt throwers allowing the kroxies a double flank charge on some poor spearmen
-That pretty much ended the game as all that he had left was a mage who rolled a miscast followed by another double 1 on Miscast table.

    In Conclusion:
Carken you said this would be a fun list to use, and it really was. Pretty much the whole game your in control and when the Kroxigor get in man they hurt. A combo i was thinking of is taking the Bane Head with one of the priest and using the rule of burning iron on a general (as people like to armour up generals) meaning for 1k games I can kill the general with one spell and I can always have the spell as it the first spell in list. I also forgot to mention in the army list run down that the skinks are immune to Psycology they can remain meat sheilds unil they all die. I really encourage anyone to try this list its powerful, tricky and most importantly really fun to play.

Very nice combo, that has never once occured to me. Ya I like sacred spawning lists also, too bad you can't really find that online anymore, luckily I printed it off long ago. The lore of metal is pretty sweet, especially vs dwarves and choas.

In all it seems like you have a great understanding on the workings of lizardmen and most importantly movement phases. A lot of warhammer is won in the deployment and movement phases. Keep doing us proud be eating high elves, I hate those buggers.

Perhaps I might be tempted to try to up the unit of kroxes to 4 a piece, you may have to lose a hero though.

The reason I say that is because I run 2x4 krox in 2k pts and they work wonders, I can't imagine the damage they would do in 1k pts! >.<

Well I played another 3 games today :
1st An Empire gun line with Great swords
2nd An Orc and Goblin combat hoard
3rd A Wood Elf Waywatcher Hero army

Empire army was the hardest out of the lot. With a helblaster Volly Thing I luckily got commandment of Brass (no war machines for you!) and nulified that for the whole game. Both wizards chose Rule of Burning Iron and took down First the wizard I special wizard armour and then a whole unit of inner-circle knights. I made a dumb move that lost me a unit of Kroxigor by not charging His knights after a failed charge they did. I over guesed the range and moved back. I won this game in the end thanks to my skinks taking two qauters and poping his general with Rule of Burning Iron.

Next was the Orc and Goblin combat list. Won this game and needs no explaining as I just total out manouvered him and cut them apart unit by unit.

Lastly were the wood elves. What a game. First turn his way watchers that scouted into a building were incinerated by the sallies and they fled in the 3rd turn (not before they put 20 arrows into my skink priest's head). After that a unit of Wild Riders came screaming down the side of the board into my deployment zone and again the awsome combined effort of the sallies and the (somewhat angry) remaining Skink priest who used a Distilation of molten silver spell (2d6 st 4 MM). In the end it was a stand off between 2 units of Glade gaurd and 2 units of Kroxigor. Ah .... yea you know what happened next.

Stonehambey: Ah yea mate I agree it would be devestating but what i've also found to be quite good is the 6 power dice I get each turn. I have dominated in magic every game and in 1k it tells. using the transmutation of lead to help the kroxigor in combat makes it way easier to win combat res. I'll give it a try next game but i'm still really keen on that bane head/rule of burning iron combo.

I wont be playing again until the weekend (Student) but I've written a list that has 2x4 Kroxigor. The list is basically the same but of course I had to drop a hero, so I dropped the chief (I mean he did have a 50pt weapon). So the new list for weekend is looking like :

    Skink Priest lv 2 @ 115pts
    Tlazcotl

    Skink Priest lv 2 @ 115pts
    Tlazcotl

    10 Skinks @ 85 pts
    Tlazcotl, scout

    10 Skinks @ 85 pts
    Tlazcotl, scout

    4 Kroxigor @ 232pts

    4 Kroxigor @ 232pts

    2 Salamander Hunting packs

    models in army: 38

    Power Dice: 6
    Dispel Dice: 4
    Total Points: 994pts

Question: does anyone think it would be good to lower a level on wizard to take bane head?
