My local campaign expands to 1000 pts next month and I wanted to ask you guys about my new list:

    ScarVet
    BBoC
    Dragonhelmet
    Ironcurse Icon
    Luck Stone
    l.Armor + Schild
    133pts

    Skink Shaman
    lvl 2
    Plaque of Tepok
    115pts

    23 Saurus
    Hw+S, FC
    283pts

    10 Skirmishers
    Blowpipes
    70pts

    6 Chamos
    72pts

    5 Coldone Cav
    FC, Warbanner
    250pts

    1 Sallie
    75pts

    998pts total

    Some thoughts:
I know many players don't like Coldone Cav but I want to try them out for a couple of games ond see, how they do. I think they could make a good Hammer to my Saurus Anvil.
Another option would be dropping the Skirmisher to take an Oldblood instead of the Scarvet. I usually prefer having more units over strong characters though and I want to use the Skirmishers as Shaman bunker. Still not sure though...
And what do you guys think about my Generals gear?

    Tanks in advance :)

No BSB? :shifty: Jk, you probably don't need one at this level.

Looks pretty good though. Your Scar-vet is 2+ AS, 2++ vs Fire, 6++ vs Warmachines, AND he eats through enemy armor like a car crusher (that's on fire). Not bad. I don't think you need an Oldblood.

With your Cavalry, make sure to keep them on soft targets or working in tandem with your main block.

I'd love to have a BSB but I rly can't afford one...
I with Lizzies I can do without one at 1000pts.

You'r absolutely right about the Coldones, I need to make sure not to waste them.
They are very expensive and should only attack stuff, they can actually run over on charge (I hope the warbanner is going to help with that) or be flanking the main meele with my saurus.

Apart from all that I'm actually putting high hopes on the shaman. Light is very powerful IMO and at 1000pts I hope his 3 spells will have an impact on the game.

Umm, Skink Priests can't use Light... Maybe I am missing something you said earlier?

You definitely will appreciate Iceshard Blizzard at 1000pts. If I had to pick, I would Say Harmonic Convergence and Curse of the Midnight Wind would be the next priority spells. Getting all three of those on whatever your Scar-Vet and friends are beating on will be a huge combat winner. Kind of like a poor man's Lore of Light.

Oh yah, don't forget to remove individual points cost. Arli might get you... :smug:

I actually like cold one cavalry and use them in my tournie list regularly as a flanking unit, and you do say you want to try them out so keep them

    But

At 1000pts, how many armies will able to deal with a stegadon!
