Heroes Skink Priest Lvl2 Dispell Scroll 140 Pts Reasoning: I just Hate Going into Any Game Naked in the Magic Phases. "Cant take a Slann? Make due With Priests." Skink Chieftain BSB Charmed Shield Dispell Scroll 110 pts Reasoning: Most Of my Army Is Initiative 1 Running 2 Dispell Scrolls to keep Pit of Shades From ever going Off BSB to keep things From breaking Cause a Re-Roll Cold Blooded 8 will almost Always Hold. stands behind Large unit of Saurus to Squishy to keep in front line Combat. Core 30 Saurus Command 360pts Reasoning: Everyone Needs Saurus Rare 2 Salamanders extra Handlers 160pts Reason: some Shooting and Decent Chaff Clearing Mostly for the Off chance i go against another Very Blocky Army list many Flaming Attacks.
You can only have one dispel scroll now. However, you could give the priest a cube of darkness that will do the same thing and end the magic phase/RIP spells on a 4+.
Oldblood is illegal for taking a bunch of magic armours. Only one item per category. Even if you could take all that armour, the save is capped out at 1+, not 0+. scroll (or any arcane item) on a skink chief is illegal.
This list is kind of all over the place and mostly illegal! The oldblood: You can only take one item from the magical armour section of the rule book on each character, this old blood has 3! enchanted shield, dragonhelm and glittering scales. I dont have my book on me to check but I'm pretty confident you have more than 100 points of magical items anyway, I'm sure you have 95 points not counted the gold sword, which is definitely not 5 points so you are over your limit In reality there is no point in take enchanted shield because a 0+ armour gets automatically capped to a 1+ save so a waste of points. You can only take arcane items on wizards, so the chief cant have a scroll, not that you can have two scrolls anyway, you also can only take one arcane item so cant have Plaque of Tepok and a dispell scroll. Also I dont have my BRB, but do you not need a minimum of three units or am I imagining that? if so, then the list doesnt have 3 But more importantly, the list just doesnt have anything going for it, where is the skink chief and skink priest going to go? they would have to sit to the side on the saurus block and be killed straight away in combat, Skink chiefs are not great especially at this small point size, they will die easily. ant this level i would: Take a scar vet BSB with GW, VotFF and then lots of armour/ward to keep him save A skink priest with a scroll to cast magic Saurus block skink skirmishers sallie and then terradons or something if you have the points.
Thanks Okay Serious Revamps will be on the Way but just out of Curiosity i thought Terradons were close to the worst special choice (disregarding TempleGuard with No Slann) in 8th edition? or am i just wrong one more time? And about the Oldblood I can only take 1 Magic Wepon I belive as long As it is not the Same type of Armor i.e. Chest plate Helm shield. you can take more than 1 magic Armor and Ibelive it's exactly100 pts of items Scales 25 Aura 40 Shield 5 Icon 5 Helm 10 sword 10 total Magic items 100pts
It's personnel choice, they are far from a bad choice but some people like and use them with success (me) while other people use them and find them rubbish, there is a good article on here on how to use them effectively No that is not the rules, reread the paragraph titled " Balance of Power" on page 172 of the BRb, it explains it well, it is only one piece of armour regardless of type, you dont differentiate between helmets and shields and armour e.t,c it is just one. No, the gold sigil sword is 15 and the enchanted shield is 15 ( you use the value in the lizardmen armybook not the BrB) giving you a total of 115 points
And terradons aren't half bad at all. They can win you the chaff war quite well since 3d3 rocks can often wipe out a whole unit of light calv, dogs/hounds and put a good dent into 10 skirmishers.
Okay Removing All the Problems (new List Coming Soon) I will still keep the OldBlood because i can still stack the Scales And Aura For the -2 to hit

I like this list better, A nice saurus block with the old blood inside A nice skrox block with the chief inside A skirmisher unit to carry the priest The old blood and chief are a bit under armoured but at this point level there isnt much you can do about it It seems a reasonable army along with a decent magic phase with a cheeky ruby ruin, give it a shot i think it could work well
Correct me if i'm wrong guys, but at a 1k level, I thought you couldn't take any lords? The max level characters are heroes?
Nope, max 25% Lords and 25% Heroes, by points. You may be remembering previous editions, when force organization worked differently.
