8th Ed. 1050 point Swarm list

    An awesome list of mine. I figured id share it with the community of the Old Ones. I put it up on warseer, but got no replies. Maybe you could all give your thoughs.

    Ill say that im not taking advice from modifications such as:
    "remove some skinks for some saurus warriors"
    a comment like that will be ignored. i dont mean to sound rude, but im not open to removing anything.

    However, alterations such as combining 2 groups of 10 skinks into 1 group of 20 skinks is perfectly fine.

    anyways, this list is all fun and in no way competative. i started fantasy because it looked fun, with the psychic powers and how there is no limit to how many models you can have in a regiment.

    LoL, when I read swarm list, I thought there would be a swarm list. Anyway, I love skink armies. I would make a couple of changes. Primarily, I would drop the braves from every unit of skirmishers. They are just not worth their points. You only get an additional BS +1. I would also take javelin and shield on all of them. That way, you can march and shoot, then stand and shoot on any charge.

    That brings me to the next change. I would combine them and make each unit 20 skirmishers in 2 tanks of 10. That way you are looking at 20 shots followed by 20 stand and shoot reactions if you get charged.

    That is just my thoughts. I wonder about the lack of some hammer and anvil units, but, as you said, this is for fun.

    i dont know much about stand and shoot and that other thing you mentioned, but i like the blowguns and i think ill stick with those. The skink braves are questionable too. i thought. for an extra point, i could have another model in the group.

    I still like the skink Braves, though. theyre like commanders for the squad and even if they only give +1 to BS, ill still take them. thanks for the advice though.

    Skink brave upgrade is not another model to the group it is changing one of your original 10 into a brave. Every time you roll your shots you will have to roll a separate dice for the brave.

    Also at the cost of 6 pts each you will spend 64pts. This could be another 5 chameleon skinks! Or upgrade 64 skinks to jav/shield which in my experience is much more useful as you can easily project poison shots 24" instead of limiting your doulbe taps to 18". Or if you go single taps on the blowies you essentially gimping yourself compared to jav/shield.

    Just some thoughts
