I'm a novice, but this is the general thought process. Low magic army, focussing on wildform for the saurus block. Ripper/chameleons taking out warmachines or other backline targets (don't know which are more effective). The Salamanders for those big blocks of cheap units. Stegadon and scar vet killing those high toughness units and acting as the hammer with my saurus block as the anvil. Random group of 10 skinks are there for being annoying.

    EDIT: Points of contention are:

2x groups of 5 chameleons vs 3 ripperdactyles?

Nobody likes a normal steg when you can have an ancient for the small amount of extra points. But when I can have a max of 300 rare, would you take an ancient steg and no salamanders or get salamanders and a normal steg, or just no steg at all?

I could potentially take out a stegadon and the groups of skinks to have two groups of 24 saurus?

    All criticism is appreciated :)

Looks like a well tailored list to me.

At this point level I would definately go with the normal stegadon and 2 Salamanders. Perhaps consider to sharpen it's horns though so it can kill monsters if you expect them to show up.

I have not personally tried the rippers yet, so can't comment on those, but if want them for harrasment/warmachine hunting I would probably go with the Chameleons instead.

Do you reckon not having a bsb will be an issue?

I don't think I have the skill to use them effectively. I mean, I don't really know what I'm supposed to do with them. Do I just outflank and shoot people? I know a lot of people say that they are also there to redirect charges but I don't really understand how that works.
