I used this list to decent effect vs. Warriors of Chaos (even though my priest and skirmishers fled off the table, curse you Warpflame!). I'm curious about everyone's opinion about it as an all comers list.

    [Heroes]
Scar Veteran, Burning Blade of Chotec, Dawnstone, Light Armor, Shield, Cold One
    158pts
Skink Priest, Level 2, Feather Cloak, Plaque of Tepok
    140pts

    [Core]
20x Saurus Warriors, HW & Shield, Full Command
    250pts
    10x Skink Skirmishers, Brave
    76pts
Skroxigor Unit, 16x Skinks, 2x Kroxigors, Full Command
    217pts

    [Special]
    5x Cold One Cavalry
    175pts
    Stegadon
    235pts

    1251 pts

I can't come up with a good way to include a Slann in 1250 pts (the bottom tier of the challenge board at my local game store), but the Scar-Vet and Skink Priest have served me well so far in some friendly games.

I have 8 more skinks, 1 more Kroxigor, and 2 more skink skirmishers that I could add in if other things are removed. I also have 10 Temple Guard, but wouldn't take these unless I had the Slann. If you think I need to buy more stuff, let me know.

You should be ok without a Slann at this point level.
your list kinda reminds me of many of my own list.

Ps. eventualy you are going to want some Salamanders though.

Drop the mundane shield and take the Charmed Shield.

Generally I would upgrade the Stegadon to an Ancient and max out the size of your SKrox unit, paying for that by dropping the Saurus Cavalry. But I don't think you have the models to fill in the remaining points.
