take a cloak of feathers on the plaque of tepok skink as it allows you to fly over an enemy unit and you can move 20inches. Idea is to jump forward behind your enemies elite units and pretty much their whole battle line. Throw dice at whatever spells take your fancy then once you are down to around 4-5 dice throw it at one last spell and pray for a miscast. Your wizard blows up killing lots of enemy models and wounding your wizard. Just watch out for that cascade.
Put your chameleons on war machine duty you can potentially kill a warmachine on your first turn with those guys.
My own saurus never seem to do anything but stand there and look pretty, get run down by bret knights or slaughter skaven to the point of ridiculousness as my temple guard or cold ones normally finish them before my block can get into position.
try lanching the sallies across an enemies flank killing more and don't forget just how far the template can move it will miss if you are too close

I personally try to deploy second and aim for the second turn as this allows me to place my units where they will serve me best deploying skirmishers and orther specialised units last where they can do the most damage to that killy/overpowered/weak spot/annoying unit that your opponent is going to bring along. That means you mister hellpit abomination i know your out there watching me just because my salamander refused to hit you i will bring you down you hear i will.
