    Hi Guys,

Our playgrour started a mini tournament, with TK, Stunties, daemons and Lizzies (ftw)
I build this list. Please pull out those guns and shoot......

    Scar-Vet: general @ 172 pts
    COTJW
    SOM
    Ench. Shield
    SSoQ
    SSoT
    LA

    Scar-Vet @ 200 pts
    BSB
    LA
    SSoI
    SSoT
    CO
    Banner of Huanchi

    2x 11 Skinks Skirmishers @ 132 pts
    Javs and Shield

    1x 4 Kroxes @ 232 pts
    1x 3 Kroxes @ 174 pts

    1x 4 Donns 140 @ pts

    3 Sallies 195 @ pts

As you can see, it is very light on core. Maybe even a little cheesy light.
It is made to be fast and hard!
Skinks die along the way towards the opponent. Kroxigors pretend to be Hulk and Smash.
The banner of huanchi is, although known by your opponent, a very effective thing to wield.
I used it in 1K games and it can wreck R&F when played correct. It will ALWAYS infuence the plays of your opponent...Always.

The Donns are there for the hunt, or marchblock
Sallies....Well...I bow down to them! nuff said!

    shoot!

I like the list. For the style that you are going for, I think that it could work quite well.

Beyond that, however, I must ask whether you think that 4 dispel dice might be a general overkill for the tournament play you are going into. It largely depends I guess on whether your Daemon's opponents leans more heavily towards khorne than tzeentch, but for a fixed list you might be able to get by with 3 (considering that you will be playing dwarves). Also consider that you have so many war machine/mage hunters already built into your list.

And, from all of your posts I read, I know my next suggestion probably wont go over very well with you. I would suggest that you reconsider the over all value of the BSB. Yes, it does give your kroxigors a good charge length and it throws off your opponents gameplan, but in the end the 200 pts might be better spent. As your opponents now are used to your trick, they will treat that unit as a 12-18" charging unit. The surprise is lost and so your opponent will build it into his gameplan. You, however, still must deal with the random distance. Rather than having that liability, you could pack in another unit of 3 kroxigors and have change to use towards another unit of skinks. In my opinion, you would then avoid the a-lot-of-eggs-in-one-basket issue, and you could still force units into compromising positions with a coordinated advance. Just my two cents tho ;)

I just wanted to sneak in an addition to SohCahToa's suggestion with dropping the BSB. Aside from all the stuff he brought up already, it'll also negate the small chance that the Krox unit will have to deal with a failed stupidity test from the Cold One. I know the leadership should be high enough to negate this in all but the worst situations, but there is still that chance. Getting all that hitting power and some reassurance about your troop movements may end up doing you more good than the banner.

    Hi Guys,

Thanks for the feedback. I like this. It makes me think again about some choices.
Reading your arguments, i think you have given me some points to concider.

I, as SohCahToa with his $0,02 (i really liked that extra touch! :smug: ) mentioned, really like the BSB. I do know that it is small fortune at 200 pts, but it has proven it's value time after time. If it get's shot early on, it is an expensive (maybe even to expensive) character. But when played correct it's lethal!

I do tend to agree that 3 dd is more then enough in this field. My daemon friend (the player that is :bored: ) plays heavy combat. Dwarf wield no magic, only those pesky TK...

I have failed some stupidity test, even some really important ones!, but those never affected the kroxes. The BSB joins the unit after they move to charge position. If i fail my stupidity test, i will have to change my movement, but i know that from the getgo of the turn.
