8th Ed. 1250pts vs. Ogre Kingdoms

    Okay, my first go at my own list. I'm currently participating in my first campaign at a really great games club I recently joined. I'm having lots of fun, but not winning! I lost my first two games and drew my second two... now I need a win!

    Heroes

    - Skink Priest (Lv.2) Lore of Heavens
    - Skink Priest (Lv.1) Lore of Heavens, Dispel Scroll
    - Skink Chief w/ blowpipe

    Core

    - 30 Saurus Warriors (full command) w/ spears
    - 13 Skink Skirmishers w/ blowpipes
    - 12 Skink Skirmishers w/ blowpipes
    - 12 Skink Skirmishers w/ Javelins
    - 12 Skink Skirmishers w/ Javelins

    Special

    - 8 Chamelon Skinks
    - 8 Chameleon Skinks
    - 8 Chameleon Skinks

    Line of thought

    - Ogre Kingdoms generally lack armour saves, so lots of poisoned attacks to take advantage.
    - Ogre Kingdoms lack models, so swamp the battlefield with lots of pesky skirmishers.
    - Lore of Heavens signature spell to make Ogre's low WS even lower, giving my Saurus Warriors a chance to hold out.

    Advice desired

    - As this is my first list, general feedback would be really appreciated.
    - I doubt this list will be able to deal with the cavalry units Ogre Kingdoms have access to (with their amazing armour saves). Any advice on what to take out and add in to tackle them?

    Update

    I've been told that my opponent has been running riot in the campaign with Mournfang Cavalry, so I'm definately going to need something to tackle that. Therefore, here's an alternative list for you to consider.

    Lords

    - Old Blood (Light Armour, Piranha Blade, Shield, Potion of Strength)

    Heroes

    - Skink Priest Lv.1, Lore of Heavens, Dispel Scroll

    Core

    - 20 Saurus Warriors (Full Command) w/ spears
    - 13 Skink Skirmishers w/ blowpipers
    - 12 Skink Skirmishers w/ blowpipes
    - 12 Skink Skirmishers w/ javelins
    - 12 Skink Skirmishers w/ javelins

    Special

    - 8 Chamelon Skinks
    - 8 Chameleon Skinks
    - 8 Chameleon Skinks

    Line of thought (in addition to the rationale outlined above)

    - Old Blood to flank Mournfang Cavalry (to be supported by unit of Skink Skirmishers)

    Advice desired

    - How does this list compare to the first?

    I quite like the list, saurus are actually a pretty good match for ogres, same ws, s and t and better armour save, although I rarely use spears as I like the parry save, but I think that is a personal preference. I'd consider popping the old blood on a cold one and drop the light armour. But that might be risky if he brings an ironblaster!
    I wouldn't but blow pipes on skinks, most of the time you'll be hitting on 7's if you multi shot so you are better off with javelins as you get a shield and leave the multi shoots to the chameleons.

    If he is going mournfang heavy you may need more than just one old blood to deal with them though
