LOL yes it will take a few days. Fortunatly the board will be set up in my game room and we can take several days to finish. Should be a lot of fun. He will have 11 guns (artillery), 2 Stank, 6 units of heavy knights, 2 pistolier, 2 outrider and about 900 infantry lol It will be interesting to see what an Empire Grand Battery looks like! Talk about marching into the Guns!!!
On the 3 Slann I am bringing. What lores of Magic would you suggest. Currently I have 30 Power Dice not counting the free dice the Slann will receive. Seems like a lot, however, the Empire player has 22 Dispel + the Rod of Power (stores up to 3 dice for use as power or dispel) Heavens and Metal are good against the empire. Maybe the Lore of Fire? Your thoughts? I will post photos of the board and terrain in a bit
So, big game; big fun! On your list; Your SV 12.546 (his serial number) uses the Sword of Battle Your Skink chief 1.236 (his serial number) ALSO uses sword of battle. I don't know if that's a typo, but as it stands; it's illegal. On your list; I'd try and get some more chameleon skinks in. You can drop the razordons/a razordon to do this, alternatively; drop a Salamander. (Note: I haven't counted your special slots...) Your general-Slann has the plaque of tepok+focus of mystery...Which makes the plaque useless! As it stands, you have 14 Dispell scrolls. You also seem to have 3 scroll caddies with the exact same setup; LvL2, Scroll, Curse Charm. ...? If you're afraid for his magic: Becalming Cogitation on your slann and the plaque of dominion. This allows you to drop one (or 3 ) caddie(s). Plaque of dominion is suggested over the jaguar standard on your BSB-General-Slann. Your War-Spearadon really needs to be an ancient! It's worth it. The lone skink chief (on foot) carries the staff of the lost sun. WHY? I really doubt if he is usefull (at all). I'd drop the razordons and/or Sala's from their units first. Lone salamanders can do the job too; although 3 are way more destructive, they are also harder to keep hidden. Razors aren't worth it (for me). Now I understand that these are all your models, and you simply put some heroes in just to fill points. Still; these are my points of criticism. I'm sure there are more; but the list is so darn huge! And for future lists; try not to copy+paste directly from Army Builder. We all know that an EotG causes terror is ITP, has 4 skink crew....etc.. This list is so big, I can understand. sick battle i defenetly would like to see photos!! for how long have you been collecting lizards to get that many? im squeeze every peny and only have 36 saurus 36 skinks salamandra 10 temple guard and 8 COC. afcourse i have just started and nothing is painted yet.... but your army should look sick on the tabble!!
No one laugh but here I would suggest Lore of Life...yeah that's right, Life...and what? Against that gun line and with randomly generate terrain I think it is safe to say that Life would actually work quite well in the right situation which I imagine would come up here. Warmachine on a hill for example... Of course I can't access the lore on this computer (darn pdf download why won't you work!) so I'm just going by memory...

He will have as stated 11 artillery pieces (cannon and rockets) no motars and roughly 743 miniatures I have 643 models on the field. @Eagleblaze: Life might be good. The range of the spells might be an issue since the board is 6' wide 12' long (72" x 144") and most life spells are 12" @Walgis: I have been playing and collecting since the game began... 1st edition. which was before army books even. When the game first started you simply built your troops based on points. IE toughness was 2 pts per. Str 3pts per etc. The board is so darn big the photos do not show the terrain in great detal but will post shortly.
My main piece of advice would be to go with focus of mystery and heavens magic on the three Slann. Heavens is perfect for this size battle, since you will be able to put comets down all along his gunline. The guns will be the biggest threat to your force, so take em out quick! The other damage spells have unlimited range as well. You might want to take one with metal to crush his knights and stanks. Another possibility is Beasts, because Beast Cowers has no range limitation, and can be used to immobilize units in his army at inopportune times. But Heavens sounds good. Call down the wrath of the old ones.
Life is typically an enemy unit within 12" of the caster or within 12" of terrain so unlimited range in a sense, depends on how much terrain you have I suppose. D6 s6 hits to anything on a hill. Gift of Life on a 7+ could be a handy spell to have aswell if you're keeping your slann within 12" of one another. Regain all lost wounds... Could be an idea. Though as already suggested heavens would no doubt be a fine choice here. All you need is to be able to see those guns in order to target them with FL or UT. -Eagle
