is it worth it taking only 15 saurus with command? have 18 classic saurus and wanted to use them to save money lol
Not to sure about the new rules with steadfast and all, but in 7th ed, never worth it. Took on casualty, lost a rank bonus, therefore only giving you +2 (Banner + one rank) for combat res if you didn't kill anything in your combat strike back.
use all 18, go 6 wide and 3 ranks. use it as a flanking unit to deny the enemy their rank bouns. Or incorperate them into another saurus unit to beef it up. Yours Aye Mixer
I don't think you should take Saurus in small units because they'll just killed off unit by unit quite easily. Use your 18 Saurus to make either a 6 by 3 unit, or to increase the number of another unit. I play in the School League and almost as a rule, I take 20 Saurus as they aree ahrd to kill, and not easy to fight off in CC.
actually I just realized that 17 saurus means I am only 3 short, which is the size of a command squad. so I could probably use the new saurus as command
Or make a 50mm unit filler with one saurus and some terrain for the unit. By having one saurus take the place of 4 you get the 3 you're missing.
ooooooooo YESSSSSSSS and it will work well with my tzunki water theme for basing MWAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAAH I'll have to ask if that is okay in league play tomorrow though lol
I have yet to hear of unit fillers being forbidden, i mean even the GW staff have fillers on the site's army articles.
