Hello Guys, I am Fairly new to warhammer fantasy with only a few games under my belt so if I get anything wrong please feel free to correct me. Here is my 1500 points; Old Blood; Light Armour, Shield and sword of blood shed Priest; Lv2 38x saurus warriors S.B and Musician 32x Cohort S.B and Musician 2x Kroxigors Bastiladon Solar Engine Ancient Steg. General tactics is to have both old blood and Priest with the saurus warriors and march down the middle with the cohort on one flank and steg. on the other with the bastiladon behind to keep him safe. What do people think anything that should be removed or added ? Any feed back would be appreciated Thanks for your time
This list seems pretty decent, though I would consider a few tweaks: - Replace the Old Blood's shield with a Charmed Shield: I see no reason not to do this, you will bump his armour save to 1+, and actually save you a point. - Your saurus block is HUGE: They are slow and large, so with such a big block you might find yourself out-manouvered, especially since you have such a low number of units. Reduce their numbers and free up some points. For the points you spare on saurus warriors I would recommend getting a salamander, a dispel scroll and/or a Dawnstone for your old blood (1+ rerollable armour save is very powerful) Good luck! Ive never tried out the sword of bloodshed myself, so tell us how it worked when you have tried it!
Fixed the shield above to the shield that actually improves AS in that way ^^ those two are both usefull though, i agree that enchanted would be better for you OB though Otherwise solid advice
I would recommend that if you could free up a 140 pts from the saurus or other areas to throw in two units of bare bones skirmishers with javs and shields. Redirecters are invaluable especially with large blocks of infantry. Anything to keep him from getting mega multi unit charges. Javs are quick to fire; poison ranged attacks and most importanly expendable.
