7th Ed. 1500 battle VS dwarves

    Well, Im going to play a friendly match against a friend this weekend. And we havent played for a couple of years, but we got into the hobby again and are ready to cross swords once again.

    I cant find all of my models, which leaves me with little choice of what units to use against him.
    whats missing in my army is one of my skink units, and im missing a skink priest, three terradons and my cute salamander :(

    So what I am going to play against him with is
    5 saurus on cold ones
    23 saurus warriors divided into two units
    14 skink skirmishers
    10 temple guards
    1 stegadon
    2 saurus scar veterans
    1 skink cheif with cloak of feathers

    I know he will be playing with
    1 unit of gunners (cant remember their name)
    2 dwarf warrior units ( I think )
    1 slayer unit
    1 bolt thrower
    1 cannon
    and some heroes, most likely 1-2 engineers and rest thanes.

    Is there something I should be afraid of?
    My tactic is to have the cheif inside the skink unit, and then suprise attack him by charging his cannon/bolt thrower by air.
    rest of the army will just be focusing on eating their way through his units.
    I didnt bother bringing any priests as he has 4 basic dispel dices, and I really want that skink cheif and at least one saurus hero for the battle.

    I think he will suspect I will bring some magic into the game, and hopefully he will buy some nasty dispel runes, even though 4 dispel dices are enough to dispel anything I would have tried anyways.
    His tactic will probably be just stand back and shoot at me with warmachines and gunners till we clash into close combat.

    So, do you guys have any suggestions or any tips? Im a bit rusty when it comes to playing this game :)

    As a dwarf player, I can tell you exactly what his strategy will be... His cannon will be looking to take out your stegasaurus quick. He will have a rune that allows him to do d6 wounds and re-roll misfires. This means your steg is basically dead in 2 turns unless you keep him hidden. His Bolt thrower will be looking for flank shots at your cold ones or will also target steggy. His engineers will hurt your skink priest... I'm not sure you can win this battle if you charge a war machine crew with a master engineer or runesmith.

    I would drop 4 skinks and definitely the temple guard. They are pointless waste of points without the slann. Bring, in their place, some terradons and a salamander group. The key with dwarves is to overwhelm them with scary targets.

    Oh, I'm not using my skink priest. I just mentioned some of the units I cant find.
    The reason I got the temple guards on the list is because some units has disappeared and I dont have much choice :s

    Thanks for the reply though, I'll think of something I suppose :p
    The battle is gonna be tomorrow :)
