So as the title says I've never made a lizard list before, but I want to make the best list I can so I want your feedback. I will probably be playing Dark Elves with this, so any army specific tips are appreciated as well. The list is with the new rules for 50% lords etc. Thanks for the feedback! Total- 1496 Lords Slann Mage BSB with Standard of Discipline, FoM, Becalming Cogitation, Ironcurse Icon, Cube of Darkness, and Obsidian Trinket. Heroes Gor-Rok Level 1 Skink Priest of Heavens with dispel scroll Core 23 Saurus Warriors with HW and shield and FC 12 Skink Skirmishers with Javelin and shield 12 Skink Skirmishers with Javelin and shield Special 20 Temple Guard with FC, Champion has Shrieking Blade So the slann and his unit are EXTREMELY valuable, so if I lose them I pretty much lose the game. That's why I gave the whole unit 6+ saves against magic missiles and warmachines. Gor-Rok will join the Saurus so both my combat blocks are stubborn, so I expect them to stick around for a while and the skinks are going to be used as redirections and chaff. Are there any glaring errors in the list? Is 4 units enough for this game size?
You simply have to many points spent on magic in what is a smallish battle. The other thing to look at is DE are a very hard match up. DE is my normal opponent and they have just about every advantage. Witch elves, warlocks and their characters are all problems. It will depend what's in his list how you go about trying to fight them, but assuming you have no idea what he's going to field you are really going to want a sallie or 2.... or 10. 10 sounds good There is a good chance he won't have any magical weapons which makes an ethereal slann with banner of war a thing.
