Hey folks, got my first game coming up vs Legions of Nagash. Waiting to get a Slann of course, was a choice between this and Firelance. any tips?

Well, there are several adjustments that can be made depending on how competitive you want to be.

I'd put either the Ethereal Amulet on the Oldblood (ignores rend) or give him the Sword of Judgment artifact to hunt down Nagash. Of course, if you know you are facing Nagash, you might want to take the Spellmirror artifact to help negate his spells he will prob throw at your Carno.

Looks like my opponent cant bring Nagash cause hes half finished, so easier time for me.

Would the Ethereal Amulet be the choice, considering im no longer facing Nagash?
 
Shadowstrike is very scary if you run a unit of 6 ripperdactyls ready to deepstrike on the key unit(s) of the opponent in the first or second turn and max out one of the skink units to 40.
Also, you should drop the 20 saurs warriors (not very useful unless running a 40 man unit in Fangs of Sotek/Sunclaw starhost) and the Knights (as per warriors but with Firelance/Dracothion's).
At 1k I like the full offense Shadowstrike, at 1.5 you can fill come of the points with summoning units (Slann, Astrolith, Eotg, Endless Spells)
 
Try to kill enemy heroes, that's pretty important when facing Death armies.

Also keep in mind that if you meet a scary Skeleton horde, good saves and rend on your side makes them melt.
