Lords Oldblood: -Shield -Burning Blade of Chotec -Armor of Destiny -*Rerolls armor saves thingy* Heroes Skink Priest: -Lvl. 2 -Diadem of Power Skink Priest: -Lvl. 2 -Channeling Staff Core: x24 Saurus Warriors: -Spears -Full Command x24 Saurus Warriors: -Spears -Full Command x18 Saurus Warriors: -Spears -Full Command x4 Terradons So this army is more combat heavy, with magic as a supporting roll. Any thoughts?
Nericon is right, you need 2000 pts before you can field a lord. as to the army, needs skinks, flankers, flank protectors, needs heavy hitters. Saurus are tough but if they get flanked they ain't so tough anymore and they're anvils. They hold enemy units in place so your other units can hit 'em in the flank.
8th edition rules allow lords to be used in any army as long as they do not take up more than 25% of the total points in the army. In this case, 500pts for lords and heroes, unlimited use of core, 1000pts for special, and 500 pts in rare units.
One too many blocks of saurus. Take one block out, add a salamander or 2 and a unit or 2 of skirmishers. Otherwise you are just a big ole block of slow movement 4 infantry that will get outmanoeuvred for the entire game.
