AoS 1500 pt list based on SCB, thoughts?

Hello All,

I am new to AoS but not new to Warhammer. I've been out of it for a few years and with the new changes I wanted to play again. I've always loved the Lizardmen/Seraphon mini's so I decided to start an army. That being said, I've purchased 2 x SCB's and will pick up some extras so that I can play 1500 point games. I want to base my initial army off of the SCB's and would like your thoughts on the following list as well as suggestions for equipment.

Saurus Scar-Veteran on Carnosaur (General)
Skink Starpriest
Skink Priest

Saurus Warriors w/ club and shield x 40
Saurus Knights w/ blade x 10
Skinks w/ bolt spitters and star bucklers x 20

Bastiladon
Troglodon

Total: 1500 pts

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I think it is a decent list. Nor super competitive but definitely not bad.

I know at some point I’m going to add a Slann and EoTG in order to make a more competitive list but I’m just trying to get off the ground and back playing. I had considered doing double bastiladon’s, losing the Trog and skinks and breaking the knights into 2 units of 5.

Basti is always a nice idea, and a Slann is pretty much mandatory these days, yeah.

I know at some point I’m going to add a Slann and EoTG in order to make a more competitive list but I’m just trying to get off the ground and back playing. I had considered doing double bastiladon’s, losing the Trog and skinks and breaking the knights into 2 units of 5.

The double basti is better than the trog, just for the fact that without a Slann the trog would not cover its role of arcane vassal, thus missing some of its (already low) potential.

Those were my thoughts. I was just trying to make best use of the SCB's. I have 2 basti on the way.
