Hi all, I started recently collecting Lizardmen and intend to take them to a tournament soon.

Rules: 1500pts, no SC, 3 rounds - Battleline, Dawn attack, Blood and Glory.

I hadn't enough time to test stuff, but i managed to do a game against HE (didn't finished it due to lack of time).

    List was (with some feedback):

    - Oldblood on Carno, Enchanted Shield, Biting Blade

This guy only managed to flank charge a bus of Silver Helms, breaking and catching them. Lot of points for a 1500pt list, considering putting him on foot on Saurus unit, and grabbing a BSB.

    - Lvl 2 with scroll (Beasts)

Plan was to buff with signature spell the skirmishers for S4 shooting, buff the Carno (in fact i got the +3S/+3A on the Carno which greatly improves it), and other units. But i may face some Lvl4 wizards, don't know if this is enough to hold magic phases.

    -3x10 skirmishers

1 unit was the priest bunker, other 2 would go foward and clear chaff and wound stuff with poison.

-25 saurus with Std and Mus

Didn't got into combat, but it will be my main combat block. Wildform will help.

    - Ancient Stegadon with Sharpened Horns

Due to being rusty at playing, got charged by the Helms. Forgot that it was Stubborn, it fled, but stopped next turn. Blowpipes are cool to get some wounds, and if it charges, it can for sure hold in place/break a medium unit. Once again, Wildform will help on tough fights.

    -Bastiladon

Ok this guy is great. Managed to roll 6 3 times (!!!), which killed half of the White Lion's unit, as the Frost Phoenix was scared and holding out of range.

    -Salamander with extra handler

Managed to fire it a couple of times, got some wounds on the Helms, nothing else. Will thin out infantry blocks.

    Thoughts:

    - Need something fast (Terradons? Maybe Rippers?) to clear asap war machines and stuff that menace the Monsters. Maybe some Chameleons do the work...

    - Need a BSB perhaps? Or more standards, Or Blood and Glory will be almost a autoloss.

-As said above, cutting the Carno may free points for the stuff above.

I still new to Lizards, and i'm having some difficulty making a 1500pts list. Would love some feedback! :D

I'll start of by saying I think Slann's are crazy good. However if you don't want to take one>
    ColdenOldie
Oldblood on a coldone, Fencers Blade (extra attack, hitting on 3's, hard to hit back) Glittering Scales(really hard to hit in cc) Dawnstone (re-roll AS if they do ever manage to get a wound on) Tricksters shard (easier char killing)

This frees points for another lvl2 priest with a scroll. And gives you around about an 80% chance to roll Amber spear.
I'd drop a unit of skirmishers and just hid your priests with your saurus(still get +2look out as both are infantry) or behind your monsters for hard cover. Then just run them behind your main line before cc. And if you get transformation 6 dice that and breathe/stomp anything stupid enough to get close

This is where you get tight for points, you can either run a chief with BSB or drop the dispel scroll and take a scarvet BSB with GW or extra hand weapon/shield(i like this one, more PF and he's st5 alrdy).

For B&G they'll throw everything at your scar-vet as it will break your army if he dies, so as long as your more careful with him you should be fine, as he's almost unkillable anyway. And if they want to try and wipe your saurus out i'm pretty sure that plays into an LM's favour.
As to finding WM hunters you'd have to drop the ancient and rework your list abit. Otherwise just rush into combat or try and flank with the COldie

I think Slann at this points level is too much, would take for sure 1 at 2k pts or more.

I don't think Carnosaur will be useful, with T5 and 4+AS people will just mass shooting, cannon it or use spells on it.

    Reworked it a bit:

    -Oldblood on CO
Fencers Blades, Glitering Scales, other tricksters shard

    -Scarvet

    BSB, LA, shield, Dragonhelm

    -lvl 2 beasts with scroll

    -10 jav/shield skirmishers

-10 skink cohort with standard (perfect priest bunker)

-24 saurus with mus/std (btw any ideia how to take them? 6x4? Spears or HW/S, havenĀ“t assembled them yet). BSB will go here probably

    -1 Bastiladon

    -1 salamander

    -1 ancient sted with horns

1403pts, this means i still can bring something like another 10 skirmishers, another salamander or 3 terradons or rippers if i cut some points. Up for suggestions!

Your Old Blood would probably be more survivable and better offensively if you swap the Fencer's Blades for a Dawnstone and GW. He would still be hit on 5's by most things, and the 1+ reroll makes him very hard to wound. Also, your scarvet could save a few points by swapping the shield and dragonhelm for the enchanted shield. With the extra points, I would look at adding either terradons or chameleons.

In fact he has Dawnstone (forgot to write it), and with WS5, he can only be hit at 5+ by WS1 or 2. With fencers blades, it's sixes for WS4 or less, 5+ for the rest. I think makes him very durable and fighty (plus it's 1 more attack). I'm probably gonna try some terradon proxies today, and some rippers on the weekend.
