8th Ed. 15000 points of LM vs 1500 points of DE

I don't have a full battle report to give, just thought I would share a photo of the game.

6 players - 5000 points each

At the bottom of the photo you can seem my forces all facing north up the board after collapsing the Dark Elf flank. The trouble came when I ran into the 2 giant blocks of Witch Elves with Helbron.

game took 7 hours and LM lost by 2000 points, and that is only because DE special character that gets double VP points for everything he kills took out Kroak and a horde of Temple Guard and on turn 6 Helbron and 20 Witch Elves killed Mazdamundi. .

All and all lots of fun was had by all.

is amazingly dumb. "Hey army book writers: do you know the difference between making an army unique, and making an army break the game mechanics? Didn't think so."

sadly no beer was consumed during the course of this game and did not have enough time to pop down to the pub for one mid game when we broke for lunch.

And yes that DE Special character is stupid.
