Hi. I dont really know how to fight dwarfs, have yet to fight against them but i will soon.

heres what ive come up with. id really appreciate what u guys think of it.
im kind of planning not to go with magic focus so to make the dwarfs anti magic phase a point waste, although i have tetto for trying to six dice some funny meteors .. focusing on fast moving units, target saturation, hoping i get the first turn and a couple of salamanders for a little castle/horde killing and initiating extra panic tests.

Oldblood, CO, GW, dawnstone, armour of destiny, ironcurse icon.
bundled up with 5 cold one riders, hw

    Tetto'eko

Saurus warriors x36, standards bearer - now im not sure should i take handweapons or spears, id prob put them in horde formation or then just 5 ranks for tarpitting.. or im not sure if i should take skoxigor block with the same point allowance

    Ripperdactyls x4
    Ripperdactyls x4
    Ripperdactyls x3

    Salamander
    Salamander

    .. so thoughts? :D

I actually really like this list!

I'd like to see a slann in any list that can take them (they're the whole reason I play lizardmen), but the oldblood is a powerhouse, and tetto'eko should be amazing vs dwarfs. The rippers will likely one be hurting war machines or kamikaze-ing blocks I reckon.

Stick with hws on the block. You'll appreciate the parry against those great weapons, and it'll likely come down a grind.

Not sure on the salamanders. Depends on what combat he brings I guess.

I'd like to see a couple more cold ones. 5 might not last long against the shooting the dwarfs can put out, and you only need to lose one to lose a look out sir.

    thanks for commenting :)

had the game this morning. it was a total tableing. lizardmen victory.
lost only 2 rippers, a handful of sauruses and one cold one.

i took sauruses on hw+ranks on 5 wide.

the dwarf player tried out his new dwarf armybook. he had belegar, runesmith, 2 gyrocopters, 1 bunch of thunderers, two moderate sized gw warriors and 5 slayers... something like that. i think he didnt have a super competetive list.

true i tried to put more cold ones in but i really wanted more rippers too, point allowance just ended too quickly heh

rippers were the stars in this game.
in short, the rippers tore down the dwarf cohorts like water, they got rear and flank charges all day long. also killed gyro1.
oldblood killed belegar and the runesmith. salamander1 killer gyro2 in melee and a couple of slayers as well. salamander2 burned some gw warriors. tetto cast suprising amount of spells, hurting the gw warrios alot.. dwarfs anti-magic seems to suck nowdays. cold ones whacked down some thunderers and the saururses tarpitted down belegar+gw dwarfs+slayers.

imo the dwarfs got nerfed. their antimagic got worse, anvil lost its movement thingy and other stuff are now bound spells = yuk.. organ gun in slightly worse, otherwise stuff is the same though dwarfs melee units are a bit better but with movement 3 and with crappy antimagic and small base... doesnt sound good.
you can seriously hurt the dwarfs with magic.

Sounds like he doesn't know how to play dwarves. No organ gun? No grudge throwers? Fail. Congrats on the win. I like champ skunks vs dwarves but that's only cus my rippers never make it past the thunderers. Skrox are nice but a grudge thrower kills 26 skunks at a time if it direct hits, s4v t2, and an organ gun does about the same. Good choice in the saurus though u prefer spears myself. Let me know how any other dwarf battles go :)

thank you! and very true, the dwarf list would have needed some warmachines badly.
lucky for me his quarrelers didnt kill any of my rippers. the dwarf book came out the same day we had the match and he was mainly using a mainly core list. organ and grudge thrower would have been good for him. the hw sauruses job was mainly just to hold vs belegar and gw dwarfs so i can gear up my rippers and ob against them as well.

also, lol at skunks ^^ :D

MSU is going to destroy Dwarfs. My buddy plays them and him and I are playing a couple 2.5k games this weekend. The Organ Gun got nerfed but not to the point of it being useless. Any Dwarf player that doesn't bring some warmachines isn't trying though.
