Its a tournament so here are the rules:

    Army composite rules:
    • Armies may be chosen with a maximum of 1600 points and must be chosen from any of the current, official Warhammer Army Books. Chaos Dwarves may be played, using the rules from the Tamurkhan Forge World book.
    • No Duplicate Large targets
    • No more than three (3) warmachines and/or shooting weapons that use any form of templates. (Bolt Throwers counts as ½ war machine in this regard)
    • All BSBs can take all the Equipment, their unit type has acces to as if they weren't BSBs (including magic items).
    • No special/named characters may be played with.
    • A non-character unit cannot cost more than 350pts or have more than 40 models.

    My army:

    Lord (236)
    Oldblood
    -GW
    -stegadon helmet
    -talisman of preservation
    -ironcurse icon

    Heroes (255)
    Skink priest level 2 heaven
    - Dispell scroll

    Skink priest level 2 beast
    - cube of darkness

    Core (805)
28x Saurus warriors full command spear and shields

27x Saurus warriors full command spear and shields

    10x skink skirmishers

    10x skink skirmishers

    Rare (300)
    Ancient Stegadon
    -Sharpened horns
    -engine of the gods

    Suggestions?

At 1600 pts, I almost always take a bsb, and I've never regretted it. Especially since you're putting a lot of points in two big blocks in infantry, it'd be a shame to see one go down because of a poor LD test.

Also I'd bring some ripperdactyls or chameleons. Something to cause havoc in your opponent's backfield. As of right now that stegadon is going to get pounded by warmachines. You need a way to deal with that.

Other than that I think the list looks pretty good. I've never run two blocks of saurus before, so I can't really speak to that, but should be interesting.
