Hey all this is my first list for Lizards and its game against High Elves. Let me know what you think, tell me whats worked for you. I figure the chief on an A. Stegadon will help get by the elves ASF rule for a fight or two anyway. I will be using the Diadem of Power a bit to keep me safe during the opposing magic phase. Thanks for your thoughts.

Try to get your second saurus unit spears aswell. apart form that, I've never played 1750 lists before, but guess this list could work for you.

I might help u here, cause I am playing HEs and have played against lizards quite often,...
First of all I would recommend to get rid of the cold one cavalry because they are expensive but will get ripped apart by bolt throwers. instead you might want some more terradons or skirmishers to spread and outflank the expensive high elf units. A block of 18 or 17 sauruses is to much its doesnt happen very often that sauruses get beaten up so hard that thy will need 18/17 warriors. two units of 15 will be enough two form the bulk of your army. I would also try to squeeze in another stegadon, they are the best chariots (or similar) in the game... use them. I would not recommend ancient stegadons cause u want the giant bow to take out crew s of bolt throwers or penetrate the ranks of expensive high elf warriors.

    thanks for reading...

sallies are awesome against HE str3 -3 armour save is just terrible for swordmasters and phoenix guard a steggie with a bow and skink chief sounds pretty nasty bs 5 giant bow is pretty bad too

Yeah i mangled swordmasters with 3 sallies. High Elves don't tend to panic too often but if you make them dead you don't have to worry about them running.

Skinks wreck HEs, I would load up on skirmishers and chameleon skinks for sure. Your Chief doesn't need to be on an ancient, a regular stegadon will do fine and its still wounding on 2s anyway, and the only thing getting an armour save against that is dragon princes. I'd drop the cavalry and perhaps try to fit in an ancient steg and use the blowpipes for 2-3 turns until you get into combat with it. I like the terradons, with those and chameleons you should have no problem taking out the bolt throwers. I would probably drop one of the units of saurus, I love the new saurus, but i highly doubt that they would win combat against swordmasters unless the HE player got the charge off.
