It seems to vary wildly as to what armies show up at my local store, so I'm hoping this list will be balanced enough. Games aren't until the end of next month, so plenty of time to revise. Gor-rok: (general) Scar-vet: cold one, battle standard, burning blade, enchanted shield, light armor Priest: engine stega, diadem, scroll 17 & 16 Saurus: spears, full command; Gor-rok and scar vet into these, respectively 4 terradons 3 kroxigor stegadon 3 razordon: 1 bonus handler March the saurus right up the middle, flank with stegadons and krox, harass with terradons and razors, priest dispells, blah blah etc etc. Probably don't have enough poison attacks for high toughness things, but other than that I think I'm squared away. Thoughts?
I like the list a lot but wish it had some skinks. I don't have my book with me but dropping a terredon and a razordon would probably get them for you. I find that I've been able to head off many charges and annoy my opponents no end with those little lizards. At the same time, you've got two anvils, two hammers and two harassers right now. along with 4-6 DD on a given turn. Pretty hard to argue with that if you can keep them off your saurus's flanks.
Assuming your tournament follows basic rules then this list is not legal, you have just 2 core units (saurus) and you need atleast 1 more. Skinks, 70 points for the 10 or 60 for ranked will do fine and add a little bit of flexibility to your list. -Eagle
For a game under 2000 points you only need 2 core units. They want to see how everyone will do without being able to take a lord character, thus the 1999 point limit.
Well if you can find 40pts you could upgrade your baby steggie to a full blown poison dart machine. 2D6 shots for each giant blowpipe. List looks good. Update on how it runs. Your Friendly Thunder Lizard
Ancient stegadon would count as my rare choice, eliminating the razordons... and their points would buy a lot of skinks. Hmm, that might be the way to go, gotta play test it both ways.
