Hi Guys, New to this forum, not new to the Lizzies. I played a game last night and wrote a report. Happy readin'! Lizardmen vs Tomb Kings Defender : Tomb Kings (We are playing in the land of Khemri) Attacker : Lizardmen Scenery : Sand Dune (in TK deployment zone), a brush (on the LM side), Boulders and a hill formed off ruined debris from a tomb (impassable on the side towards the table edge, in the LM deployment zone) DEPLOYMENT Turn 1 Lizardmen : Movement :I march with everything. (12 inch) Magic : I do not have any magic (except the banner) so this phase was quick! Turn 1 Tomb Kings : Magic :Tried his different "bound spells" stopped the most important ones (extra shooting...) Shooting : Archers killed 2 skinks on the left side. Turn 2 Lizardmen : Movement : At first i wanted to charge his archers, but on second thought i decided not to....That would be a tarpit for me (Lich priest standing behind it and second i did not want that scorion in my flank! I move my skinks forward, within shooting range. They make room for my sallies. Shooting : All skinks fire at the archers killing 2. The sallies join in and wipe the unit.....nice! Turn 2 Tomb Kings : Movement : The Scorpion charges the Salamanders with the Scar-veteran. The giant moves so it can magically charge something...skinks... Magic : The Staff of ravening kills 1 skink with 9 hits. Lucky me! Giant magically charged the skinks, they flee and the kroxigors make a nice target that got in the way. Combat : Scorpion aims all it's attacks on my general.......it flunks it's attacks and get's wiped due to wounds and combat resolution. Giant starts pounding the kroxigors. With his first initial attack he hits one! With his special abbility (furious assault) he pumps it up to 4.....nice! My kroxes attack back and give 4 back making the combat even.

The skinks tried to rally, but failed and ran into impassable terrain....Bye bye littles ones. My other skink unit marches to the left, to be a decoy for the warrior units, just waiting to dive into the flank of my kroxes. The other kroxigor unit moves to the flank of the giant and is joined by the BSB with Huanchi's banner....guess what happened during the magic phase?? Magic : The kroxigor unit "banners" into the flank of the giant. Shooting : Salamaders shoot at the warrior unit killing 7 instantly. Combat : Scar-vet kills eats the Liche Priest alive. Giant dies under the bashing of kroxigors. Turn 3 Tomb Kings : Movement : Warriors charge into the flank of the kroxigor unit that wiped out the giant. With the one wheel he could make, he could just sneak by my skinks..... The Hierophant moves "safely" behind that kroxigor unit. Magic : diespelled it all except "the jar". He summoned back 4 warriors with it. Combat : His general and warriors fail in combat scoring only a measily single wound on the krox, the krox killed 2 warriors in return. Tomb kings won combat with 3 difference. I make the break test......fail......the second throw due to the Battle standard bearer........just made it! Turn 4 Lizardmen : Movement : kroxigors charge warrior unit. Scar-vet wants to charge the rear of that warrior unit, fails his fear test and just stands there watching the show. My sallies and skinks move to "catch" the hierophant. Shooting : Skinks miss the hierophant. Sallies cought the hierophant. Burning her to a crisp.... Combat : The 2 kroxigors that charged both strike at the general. There is only so much a skeletal genaral can take....so he bites the dust! The skellies with the loss of the general didn't even bend a single scale of the kroxigors. The complete unit succumbed to the amount of wounds and crumbling. Result : Massacre for the reptiles. My friend had some bad luck with his die rolls this evening (general, scorpion) It could have been another story... For now i can look at my first 10 pts. Next stop: the stunties!
It is the battle standerd bearer with the banner of huanchi! It's an old trick, but it still works like magic! (pun intended!)

could you ask your opponent why he took a BG, the crappiest unit in the TK book, and not more skellies, and why he didn't deploy his scorp by ICFB?
