1k skirmish, all-Skink list vs. all-Plague Skaven list.
There are no Skaven Plague Core units, so we agreed that Slaves were in...meaning a whole lot of Skaven Slaves.

    Here's what I've got
    Skink Chief
Terradon, light armor, shield, Staff of the Lost Sun

    Skink Chief (General)
light armor, shield, blowpipe, Stegadon Helm

    Skink Skirmishers - 11
    Javelins and shields

    Skink Skirmishers - 11
    Javelins and shields

    Skink Skirmishers - 11
    Javelins and shields

    Terradons - 4

    Salamanders - 3

    Chameleon Skinks - 7

    Chameleon Skinks - 6

Terraskink goes in the Terradon unit, General goes in one of the Skirmisher units.

    --------------------
With no A-Bombs, Clan Skyre war machines, or armored-up Stormvermin, I'm expecting large numbers of lightly armored infantry - Slaves, Plague Monks, and Censer Bearers.

My plan is to avoid close combat altogether, giving him nothing solid to hit with catapults, spells, or Censer Bearers. Terraskink goes for any harder targets with 3xS5 18" shots, Salamanders torch Slaves, and Skinks just keep moving and shooting.

    Some obvious weaknesses:
    - No magic.
    - One character and 1 unit that can hit at S5, almost everything else is S3
    - If I can't get around the flanks of his troops, he can pretty much just back me up off the table.

    Any thoughts?

Yeah, I would love to, but Skink Chief + Steg is over the Heroes point allotment for a 1k list.

Just played this in a scenario against 2 other players. The setting:
A Goblin army has penetrated a Skaven lair, making off with a strange artifact that the Skaven stole from the Lizardmen at some point long ago. The Goblins don't know what it does, but it's shiny and they like annoying the Skaven. Some troops from Clan Eshin have been sent to run down the Goblins and retrieve their prize, but the Slann, too, are aware of these distant happenings, and have sent a Skink war party to secure what is rightfully theirs.

    Scenario:
Skaven set up on one end of a 2'x4' table, Lizardmen on the other. Goblins set up in the middle, closer to the Skaven side. The Goblins need to move the artifact (carried by one of their units) off of the Lizardmen table edge to win. The Lizardmen or Skaven win by being in possession of the artifact at the end of 4 turns.

I mostly fought the Goblins, which was a Squig-heavy army. My army weathered the hit of 2 Mangle Squigs, 12 Squig Hoppers and 6 Fanatics surprisingly well, taking down most of those hard-hitters with blowpipe and javelin fire before it even hit me. The Salamanders were absolutely devastating - my first time seeing them in their full glory. Overall, the sheer numbers I put on the table for 1000 pts, as well as the volume of shooting, stood me in good stead.

We didn't have time to finish the 4 turns, so we called it a draw - but I'm pretty sure my remaining Salamanders, Chamo's and Skirmishers and Terradons would have been quite capable of both hunting down the last Night Goblins, and fending off the Skaven.
