7th Ed. 2,000 Lizardmen army (newbie need help)

    Hi there
    This is my first army rooster and I know soon new Lizardmen arive, but first I must take some field experience.

    General be little nasty slayer wit 5-6 attack on 6 strenght with masive protection.

    All skinks be screeners, and with 4+ Sv, they can fight with some other light infranty, or attacks rears, flanks enemy units with good save against strenght 3-4.

    Saurus be exelent holder with 3+ Sv in close combat, 2 attacks with 4 strenght, and full ranks.

    Kroxigors must take out enemy heavy cavalry, hunt some dragons, or other monsters. Yes this is only 3 in unit but i think they be better, not too long unit front, easier to hide etc.

    Stegeon hmm I like have in my army some what has terror, and be big.

    Salamanders be standart attack unit.

    first thing that popped in my head was "interesting". You certainly are using a lot of skinks. Personally I'd take one of your screeners and make it a scouting unit and keep it Jav&Shield or use Darts whichever your preference.

    I'd drop the champion that you have in the saurus unit unless you are putting a character in that unit.

    I'd recommend making the Oldblood a JSoD but if you are intent on the armor save I'd at least change the Amulet of Itzl to Aura of Quetzl.

    Very nice list, and quite similar to mine in most respects.

    What I would do would be to drop one of the skink units, and use the points you saved to make another skink unit into scouts and buy a 4th Kroxigor. I've found 4 is a much better unit size than 3 because if you lose one to magic/shooting the unit is still usable.

    In a Sacred Host army list (as this one is, though it is not clearly labelled to be so) skinks can get spawnings. The rules for Sacred Hosts can be found in White Dwarf 299 or somewhere on the internet (though it would take some searching given that the GW sites have been "improved" to not have anything useful in them).

    I don't know if you added it in and forgot to type it out, but your priest would have the spawning of quetzl as well.
