8th Ed. 2.5k w/ Characters

I have a game against a buddy this weekend and he is playing WoC with Special Characters. I've never used any of the LM ones and was wondering if anyone has suggestions for a list/strategy.

I typically run the Standard TG w/Slann Life/Cupped and Saurus, Skinks, and usually Salamanders or a Stegadon if I'm feeling fun.

I'm looking for more something that is fun to play rather than super competitive. Lore of Life with Cupped actually made me stop enjoying my LM army because it wasn't fun watching my friends lose in that way. So shoot me your ideas.

i took a "fun" list without a slann and barely drew against wood elves. if winning isnt the goal, then take whatever you wanna test out you think may be a neat or unusual strat. lots of little skinks blocks to play MSU tactics or maybe monster heavy with terradons and stegs.

The actual army I can fill out pretty easy, I'm really looking for Special Character ideas. I'm considering Kroq-Gar and a heavy Cavalry army. Anyone have suggestions on how to play it though?

a lot of our characters are over priced for what the offer unfortunately. I think Chakax is pretty sweet, but benefits only if u are taking slann and TG
