Here is my 2000 Point army, i like it because, it's quite fast and causes a hell of a lot of fright just im thinking, is there anything i should have instead of the stegadon Kroq Gar riding Grmyloq Skink Priest (lvl 2) 2 Scrolls Saurus Scar Veteren with Light Armour Blessed Spawnings of Itzl and Cold One Burning Blade of Chotec and Bane Head Blessed Spawnings of Tepok 10 Skinks 10 Skinks 8 Cold one Calvalry Full Command Sun Standard of Chotec 10 Chameleon Skinks Stalker 3 Salamanders Stegadon
Ok, good list, the one problem I see is that you're throwing all of your eggs in one basket for the most part. If your opponent brings along war machines, you'll probably be forced to give the white flag. Cause more then likely he'll frown at the big dinos, which if he brings anything similar to a bolt thrower, you're in BIG trouble. The list is very fast, but also very exposed, watch out for enemy artillary. You might consider making all of your skinks scouts that way you can swiftly crush any war machine crews or at list screen until your riders can get close enough to unleash hell. Beware of giant flying monsters with riders like Dragons, cause they can easily outmanuver and posion won't be enough to bring them down. This list CAN work, but you must be extremely careful and plan out every possible weakness. Best of luck, -Dalkarius
I think you need to rethink certain portions of your list. First, I would suggest dropping the unit strength of the chamo skinks. There main use comes from their ability to scout, not from their killing ability. A smaller unit would be able to scout better and would not give up so many points. Second, drop the second level off of the skink priest. You are not going to do a whole lot against a standard 2k magic defense with only 4 power dice and 2 spells. The 35 pts would be better spent elsewhere. Thirdly, drop the sun standard of chotec from the cold one riders. A much better tactic would be to simply screen the unit with skinks, and have a banner of huanchi to allow them to burst out from their screen. Whether you use huanchi or not, a -1 to hit isnt going to do a whole lot, and your unit is already wildly expensive. While on the subject of the Saurus, keep in mind that your scar veteran will only bring the unit to 9 strong, meaning that you wont benefit from a rank bonus. I would say to either drop the unit to a 5-6 strong unit, or add an additional so that your back rank is doing something besides absorbing fire (and fear of course). Finally, I would suggest dropping the burning blade for something else. Your cav. unit will only have str. 5 on the charge, meaning that you shouldnt be pointing this unit towards anything with a decent armor save anyhow. If you want to hedge your bets, give him a halberd or spear instead. That way you can still modify an opponents armor save without paying an arm and a leg for a magic weapon that is ill suited for the unit. If you had intended to have him alone, make him a JSOD anyway. And, as an aside, when you play this list, keep in mind that you are not really a 'fast' list. with a movement cap of 7 (majority of your list having a movement value of 6), lists with fast cav. or elven steeds will still get the jump on you. If you are aiming for speed you should supplement your list with terries, a JSOD, and perhaps a FSOD.
what's a fsod? and about the scar vet with a battle standard you cant give him any non magical weapons
a FSOD is a flying skink of doom. Pretty much a skink chief with a cloak and either a sword of might or two hw. Good for opportunistic hunting (leaving your JSOD for bigger and better things). While it is true that a bsb cannot be given mundane weapon upgrades, you have not given your scar veteran such an upgrade. As you have so few combat units im not sure it would be worth it.
