So after playing the same list for a few weeks, I decided to mix it up a bit and change tac Slann Mage Priest Rumination and Cognition BSB. Standard of discipline Cupped hands Plaque of tepok Bane head Curse charm of tepok (Not sure here, might drop it) Temple Guard - 16 Full command Diadem of power on champ 10 Skink skirmishers 10 Skink skirmishers Salamander Salamander Stegadon (with the bow) Terradons - 3 25 Saurus Warriors Full command 25 Saurus Warriors Full command With the curse charm, Im not sold on it, but i had 20 points to make up and i though this would have been something, other than that I could maybe take extra handlers on the sallies and try make up 10 points somewhere. Well then, any thoughts, changes to the Slann are welcome, Im wanting to surprise my friends with a shake up to my main man Thanks a lot!
Ok here's my take on your list: Slann Mage Priest Rumination and Cognition BSB. Standard of discipline Cupped hands Plaque of tepok Bane head Curse charm of tepok (Not sure here, might drop it) You can't have 2 enchanted items... Drop the Curse Charm, I don't think it's worth it. I'd also drop the standard of discipline, I don't think its worth it's gold... LD9 re-rolls with Cold Blooded is already insanely good... Temple Guard - 16 Full command Diadem of power on champ I prefer 20 or 21 strong units, depending on the frontage you are looking for. Also, your revered guardian can't use the Diadem of Power, as it is an Arcane Item. You can give him a weapon, an armor or an enchanted item. 10 Skink skirmishers 10 Skink skirmishers Pretty standard, those little fellas are always good to have. Salamander Salamander Try to find the points for the extra (snacks)handlers. Stegadon (with the bow) I'd rather have the Ancient Stegadon, but it is a tad bit more expensive. Terradons - 3 Now these are guys I'd like to eventually have. I think they can fit a really nice role in the Lizardmen army and I definitely suggest you try them out. 25 Saurus Warriors Full command 25 Saurus Warriors Full command Good unit size, these guys are solid and won't disapoint you. All in all, I feel you are only lacking some chameleons skinks to support the terradons. With the freed points from the standard, the curse charm and the diadem of power, you can probably upgrade the Steg to an Ancient and you should still have some points left. Drop the unit champions in your saurus unit and you should be close to putting some chameleons in the army.
Thanks for the input, Didn't know about the Revered champ I'm trying to play a slightly unconventional list, just to shake my opponents up a bit. I usually always run an Ancient steg, so I'm play testing the giant bow for at least a few games. I was really close to putting some Chameleons in, but wanted to see if the terradons would stand up on their own (they do :3) But If I can scrape it, I'll have to agree with you that they need to be in I regularly play WoC, I think if I didn't have the champions in the Saurus I could really suffer for it. Plus, I'd be losing a rank, and I only have movement trays for 5 wide So, My list with the changes stands up like this: Slann Mage Priest Rumination and Cognition BSB. Cupped hands Plaque of tepok Temple Guard - 16 Full command 5 Chameleon skinks 10 Skink skirmishers 10 Skink skirmishers Salamander +1 snack Salamander +1 snack Stegadon (with the bow) Terradons - 3 25 Saurus Warriors Full command 25 Saurus Warriors Full command As my Slann will be running light or life, I didnt see the point in the bane head when dropping it allowed for Chameleons. Was this a smart move?
Looks good to me! Yeah the bane head on Slann is mostly only good for death or metal, where you are sniping out characters. It also synergizes with Cupped hands, though I agree with you that chameleons are better for sure.
Aren't cupped hands and plaque of tepok both arcane items? I'm afraid you'll have to drop one of them as well
