7th Ed. 2000 Old Blood

    New to Lizardmen, and I like them a lot. I've only played my Slann list so far, and liked it a lot. I hear a lot of good things about Old Blood lists and always see them doing very well in tournaments, so i figured I would write a list. Here is what I came up with, this is what I have for models as I am waiting for the new stuff to come out before I invest more money into Lizardmen.

    Lord
    Saurus Oldblood, Itzl, Sotek, Quetzl, Carnosaur, LA, Shield, Blade of Revered Tzunki, Aura of Quetzl

    Hero
    Saurus Scar Veteran, Great Weapon, Quetzl, Tepok, LA, Shield, Jaguar Charm
    Skink Priest, lvl 1, Dispell Scroll X 2

    Core
    Skinks X 12, Scouts Blowpipes, Champion(had 5 points to spend)
    Skinks X 12, Scouts Blowpipes
    Skinks X 12, Javelins, Shields
    Skinks X 11, Javelins, Shields

    Special
    Saurus Warriors X 20, Full Command, Tepok
    Saurus Cavalry X 6, Champion, Musician

    Rare
    Salamanders X 3
    Salamanders X 3

    Total = 2000

    I think this list will be fun to play, and with old bloods it gives me a chance to use lots of sallies, they are my new fav unit in fantasy i think haha. Eventually I'll probably spend the points from that extra unit on a stegadon or kroxigors, but still waiting on the new models.

    What is Aura of Quetzl? How do u get it?
    NM found it was thinking it was a spawning o_O

    First, give your Scar-Veteran a GW.

    Second, I would suggest finding room for a 3-strong unit of Terries. With two units of sallies and your two fast units being shock troops, you are going to need something which can keep fast cav. and flyers away from your sallies. To boot the terries will also do an immeasurable better job war-machine hunting (important w/ a carnosaur) than the two units of skinks. Don't forget that shooting must get a 5-6 to hit the crew itself. Really, they will just make your two core powers (sallies, m7 shock units + Saurus anvil) much more flexible in deployment and initial movement.

    I would say drop one of the units of skinks. You will prob. only need one to march block the important units which need to be blocked, and terries will do a great deal better against war machines and mages. For extra points, drop the brave and sotek off the carnie (overkill....especially with a 65 pt sword)

    K thanks, i actually did give him a GW but forgot to write it down in this post. I'll give it some thoughts do those ideas. ATM I dont have terradons, but im sure Ill be fine with proxies.
