I've got a GT first weekend of November, doubles day 1 singles day 2. I'm not going to win, I'm not trying to optimize too heavily, just having fun and trying my best with the new army. Singles List Lord Kroak Priest w Cloak using heavens Priest w dispel scroll, obsidian trinket using beasts Scarvet on Cold One, Armour of Destiny and GW 4x10 Skink Skirmishers w Javelins and Shield 10 Skink Skirmishers w Blowpipes 13 Skinks w 1 Kroxigor and a standard and poison attacks 29 Temple Guard w FC and Razor Standard 2x3 Ripperdactyls Doubles List Allied with Wood Elves (1200/player) Oldblood on Cold One w LA Stegadon Helm GW Talisman of Pres and Potion of Foolhardiness(deployed in a unit of 10 Wild Riders) Skink Priest Lvl 2 w Scroll and Opal Amulet, could go either lore, my ally is using a lvl 4 to High Magic, so I'm leaning Heavens 3x11 Skink Skirmishers w Javelin and Shield 10 Skirmishers w Javelin 3x4 Ripperdactyls Ally's list is the aforementioned Lvl 4, Glade Guard with trueflight or hagbane and 2x10 Wild Riders, put these two together and there is very little subtlety to its intentions. I've played 4 practice games with the singles list (or iterations of it) and have beaten down a rock hard Skaven army with all the filth, all Slaanesh Daemon army that ended on bottom of 2 with a tabling, and the wall of 1+ Empire w double Steam Tank (skinks MVPs in that one for sure.) The game I lost was against my teamate for doubles who ran 3x10 wild riders and poor Kroak couldn't gather more than 3 power dice in his hands at once, which coupled with his shooting advantage was really rough. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated, I have been playing Fantasy for years now but have very little experience playing against or with Lizardmen, thanks.
Helpful update for my cause. I asked the TO's for an official ruling on Kroak's spell just so I could play it consistently and fair for every opponent. The head organizer, a GW manager himself, ruled that it does hit in a 360 arc and affects units in combat too. Not that this is an official ruling from GW but it certainly sets a great precedent for us in the Ontario game scene
