So finally I am going to have a chance to play with the new book, and it is at 2000 points with a friend of mine who runs skaven.

I figured I would try something different and go slann-less so I can try out some new things. Normally I play a monster free list with a slann, so this low magic list is a bit of a departure for me.

That said, I think it is actually a pretty beefy list despite a single lvl2 caster. Two bound spells plus wyssans should be good enough for magic. Three T6 monsters plus two cowboys and krox mean the field will be saturated with high priority targets for a 2000 point game, Priest will probably hide in the saurus first turn, and bail out to hide behind them on turn 2 or 3.

You are packing 2 bastiladons with ark but no unit swarms.. why not stiff one unit of 2 in there ? just to utilise them to the fullest..

they may not mean mutch on there own but in a combined combat (pefferably clipping the enemy unit) with your saurus it gets them from a respectable unit to a scary one.

when facing for example 25 white lions they go from inflicting on avverage 5+- wounds to inflicting 8+- wounds not only killing a lot more guys but winning you combat.

I have been trying out a 2300pt slann-less list and it works pretty well but it becomes much much more about synergy within the list. When I look at your list I am thinking, "Okay so he is going for major combat ability over magical superiority...but where are the hard hitters? The stegadon is good sure, but too easily gotten rid of in early turns. 31 saurus with a couple heroes in it will not be enough to hold the line against what the enemy will throw at you. Batiladons are not meant for earnest combat. Beleive, me I take one every time and only use it for holding off a flank for a while or just keep it behind the lines for shooting and 'I' buff.

I think you need to drop one bastiladon, and both salamanders, and add in one unit of two swarms and then more saurus warriors. Also, take your scar vet off the cold one. He would be too easy to off with a war machine or spell since he wouldn't get a LoS roll.
